Thx OP, just ordered one. I was looking for a cheap and reliable PS for dad's computer. May I ask how's ENERMAX compare to Ultra infinity the one on sale fry's. They are often free after rebate.

enermax is 10x better then ultra

I've had my Enermax 535W running flawlessly for over a year. Seems to be a GREAT PSU. Mine version lacks PFC as well.

PFC has nothing to do with effciency, it's purpose is to turn a complex load into a simple one.

Sure...sounds terrific........ until you see that puff of smoke come out of the case and realize you now get the joy of purchasing lots of new computer parts....

Go cheap on anything....anything *BUT* the power supply - it is the absolute most mission critical piece in the case, mostly because it has the potential to fry everything else if it so desires....... :Q

I purchased one of those FAR Ultra PS's a while back..and the thing is *still* sitting on my shelf. I just can't bring myself to even open it because I can't seem to make the statement, "I couldn't care less about any part in this computer I'm putting together, so I'll use the Ultra PS!"

That's a good deal on the Enermax. Very good quality too. Oh, and the Ultra X-finity series is fine too. I have used the 500 watt Ultra X-finity in 2 diferent overclocked setups. Nice and stable, and better than the recent Antecs I have used.

I got mine on Friday....Looks like very high quality for the money

Only downside to me was way too many connectors....Just needed a basic high
quality power supply for my sons micro atx system....It was a bitch but I still did
