Hello,
I have a problem: Just bought a used engine (2000 VW Golf 2.0L AEG)
I went to the place to check it out, did all kinds of tests to it (most importantly, I manually spun the crankshaft so I can see how the compression is and whether everything is in tact). I spun it a couple of times to be sure.
I came home, put the motor on the engine stand, and now when I try to spin the crank shaft, it spins halfway and it stops at one point. Something is preventing it from spinning, but I have no idea what.
The camshaft is fine, and so is everything else (they spin properly)..
Any ideas what could be preventing the crankshaft from spinning?
Thanks.
