engineers, need information on truss analysis

I need to do a truss analysis on several kinds of trusses. I am not so good at it right now and my statics book is awful. Is there a good website which has a tutorial on it?

thanks and the trusses that I'll be working on are pratt, howe, and warren, and it's all 2d, this is just high school course.

you need physics for that course... ;-) it was scheduled to be taken sophomore year, but i could've tackled it in HS ;-)

anyway, i don't know of any sites, sorry ;-)

all you have to know for trusses is point and section? methods. you know what a free body diagram is right?

Method of Joints: at any joint (theoretically pin jointed, so no moments) sum the forces to zero. You may calculate any reactions first.

Method of Sections: make a clean cut of the truss by severing 3 members that do NOT intersect at a point. Sum forces and moments of the entire structure, etc.

Method of sections is the best. 3d truss problems were a nightmare. Glad I'm done with that and on to better things.
