Hey guys,

I just got my new Enlight 7250 case, and it has 2x front usb slots. It has a cable coming from there that should be plugged into the motherboard headers. But the pins arn't labeled. There's a 3pin and a 1pin per usb slot, and the 1pin is labeled as "ground". But the 3pin isn't labeled anything, so I'm not sure which the Data+,Data- and VCC pins are among those three.

Anybody know, or know of somewhere I can get this clarified?

Thanks.

I'm sorry if I didnt explain correctly. The headers on the motherboard are marked clearly, thats not the problem. The problem is that the cable that is attached to the case's usb slot isn't labeled. So even though I know which pin on the motherboard is VCC, D+ and D-, I don't know which color wire that comes from the case plugs into them. Again, the case is Enlight EN 7250. Anybody know?

Oh, sorry, no matter.

The color order is this:

starting at either pin #1 or #2 as per the linked diagram:

red, white, green, black

Well, this makes it even more confusing. This is what the wires from the case look like:

1 pin connector - BLACK, labeled 'ground'
1 pin connector, also BLACK, labeled 'ground'

(the above are the ground for 1 usb slot each. no problem there)

3 pin connector - GREEN,WHITE,BROWN (in that order. these are VCC, D+, D- , but don't know which is which)
3 pin connector - BLUE,YELLOW,RED (in that order. these are the VCC,D+,D- for the second usb slot. but not sure which color is which assignment)

Obviously, one ground goes with a single 3pin connector to form the standard usb (GND,VCC,D+,D-) . But I'm not sure which of the pins in the 3pin connectors are which.

=(

Regarding 2 "ground" connectors for each- USB2 added a second ground for each USB port, usually called "shielding."

I believe we can interpolate the rest with relative certainty.

AS red, white, green, black are the standard colors and are connected to the mobo header in that order.

Then for your case:

red = brown
white = yellow
green = blue
