Enough cooling to handle this OC?

For those of you who are OC the XP 2500 by only raising the FSB and not the vcore..

How much temp change has occurred?

I am currently running everything at stock speeds
But I am worried that I will not have enough air cooling for this OC due to my case.

My case currently only has 2 fans.

One on the back that blows cold air directly on the CPU hsf.

The other on the side that blows out for exhaust.

My case has places to put fans in the front but, the case only has a small slit at the bottom above the front USB and audio ports.
This small slit is about 4 inches long and about a 1/4 inch wide. This is the only hole in the front of the case. The fans would be located about 1/2 inch behind this slit?

Would my case be able to cool the CPU enough to OC?

Sounds like a case I used to have. It wouldn't happen to be a Nikao X-Jazz, would it? I found I got the better temperatures by having the rear fan exhaust hot air and use the side fan as an intake. Depending on the cfm of those fans, and your cpu itself, it may or may not be enough. Since you're only using the stock cooler, I wouldn't get you're hopes up for sky-high clock speeds.

sounds like you have minimum cooling necessary for oc. barely.. but with a good heatsinki guess you can ge away with it.

Be patient, burn-in, and overclock in small incriments. If you're raising your FSB, then do it 2-3MHz at a time. Wait a few days. If your system appears to be stable and running nicely, then raise it another few MHz. I know it is hard not to jump right into overclocking, but this is the safest method. If you start changing too many things at once it becomes harder to resolve any problems that arise. Also, it's real easy to find your limit this way.

Thanx, I am in no rush to OC, my system runs everything just fine. Though I am just looking into the future.

Bah set it to 200x11 and run your ram at 1:1 you're fine, lol. 2500+'s don't run very hot and the stock hsf is quite nice. Don't be afraid, you're cooling is 100% adequate, but in the future maybe grab some more exhaust
