10 years is getting off easy? Regardless of prison terms, both of their careers are over. That's a substantial (and warranted) punishment in and of itself.

Yea. 10years would be adequate if it was REALLY 10 yrs. But he will
only have to serve 6-8 of it. And his wife basically gets off scott free.

10 year for the husband, and wife will get significantly less term. life 1yr or less and
she will be FREE. Also the husband will only have to do 60%-80% of his term. So 6-8
yrs he is FREE.
Do you realize how much chaos this has caused? I personally know people whose
retirements are screwed because of this. So Yes it is getting off easy and their carrers deserve to be OVER but their really not. Is Kevin Mitcnicks carrer over? Maybe
its SEVERELY Tarnished but NOT over.

a. People who lost their entire retirement savings were idiots for investing so much in one company. A lot of people have lost a lot of money in the stock market in the last few years, there's always some degree of risk.
b. Kevin Mitnick is an extremely talented individual. His situation is not similar to this situation. Who is going to hire two executives with criminal records when they can easily hire someone with no record and the same abilities. Kevin on the other hand possesses skills and knowledge that very few people possess.
Edit: c. All Enron did was hide the piss-poor financial state of the company. If they had not done that, their stock would have sucked anyway and they would have gone bankrupt anyway. People would have still lost money, but the amount they lost wouldn't have been artificially inflated like it was.

Wrong. If Enron had been honest about their financial situation, investors would have:
a. pulled out of the company before the company went bankrupt, or
b. not invested in teh company in the first place seeing that the company was headed into bankruptcy

10 years is a helluva long time. I think it is far too long a sentence.
People that have shot and raped others often get shorter sentences than this. Are you telling me that what Andrew Fastow did was worse than shooting or raping someone? Surely it isn't even close.
I think it's very sad what happened to Enron, it was an exciting company and a real boon to Houston during the late 90's. The Enron execs I've met have been good people, intelligent people.

Guess those people shouldn't of put all their eggs in one basket. It does suck to hear about the mis-management of Enron, but the investors are 100% to blame for putting all of their retirement assets in one company.
