ONE PROBLEM!

The tutu mod is pretty good so far but......
I installed the NPC banter and music packs and now I have errors with the quests. They dont update or display at all in the Journal Page. I see the "Journal Entry Added" message on the main screen but when I access the Journal Page they arent added. Same for when I add a personal note. I exit out and go back and its not there.

Uninstalled the NPC mods and the issue still exists.
Have been making notes on the map to keep track of quests but eventually that will get confusing.

Any thoughts from people who have been using the Tutu mod a little while?

Just as a note:
It's not yet released, but One of the big modders at Gibberlings3 is working on IWD2NPC, which will insert 10 NPCs into IWD2 (and I think a number of them are romanceable as well). Just moved from alpha status to beta 1. Forum can be found here.

Reviving because I got mine and I need to review...

SOU is a failure. I installed it, but the game doesn't recognize the play disk in the drive.

Installing HOU now...

HOU also does not recognize the CD in the drive...HOU: failure.

As it stands, NWN is unplayable.

I'm feeling ripped off.

ADDENDUM: They don't run out of the box, but after updating, it worked.

Yeah, Bioware took the CD check out of NWN in one of the last patches.

Indeed, Bioware is awesome. I have hopes that Atari will allow Obsidian to remove SecuROM from NWN2 via patches. The game already checks for duplicate license keys during online play, so no need for SecuROM in the first place. Plus, from what I have read, the game runs noticeably faster without Sony's SecuROM.

If any of you are having trouble patching NWN1 (The Diamond Edition had this problem as well, Atari messed with it before shipping and broke the autoupdater), checkout the critical rebuilds on Bioware's website, they are offline patches that will work where the autoupdate has failed.

aCynic2, might I suggest that you do not even play the campaign that comes with NWN. The expansion packs are tolerable, but the Tales of Arterra series modules (free player made campaigns for NWN1) are FAR better.

Thanks for the updates. Anything Sony sucks rocks these days, from electronics to music/movie disks to game "value add" software. ABout the only thing that was decent are the WEGA CRTs, but who buys CRTs these days for watching TV?

It should be noted though that none of the games in the OP use Sony's SecuROM DRM. The CD checks in NWN was removed in a patch, like s44 said.

I think it's also worth mentioning that off all the games listed, only NWN has proper widescreen gaming support. However, some of the games have a hack available.

If you guys are not looking for a challenge, I suggest against ascension, installed it with all of the tougher fights enabled and playing it on high difficulty. It is one of the hardest games that I have ever played.

By the end you WILL know -- and have to use -- every exploit. (Well, a lot of 'em, anyway.)

Why would I use Gametap when the play cycle for these games will easily exceed a year? Just one of these games could take you over a year to play. Having said that - I would like it to be a little lower in price.

Hmm...I know I'm a dork when I get excited about romance mods for a dungeons and dragons PC game...
One thing I never understood about the original romances: Aerie gets pregnant when you have your first "horizontal polka" with her. However, neither Jaheira or Viconia get pregnant. Did +2 Pills of Morningafterward exist in Baldur's Gate at that time?

Damn! I saw this a while ago and have just been procrastinating (I've never played a single one of those games, yes I'm a horrible, horrible person) actually buying it, and now that I was seriously about to go do it (to combine shipping on the COD4 for $33 deal), and wouldn't you know it? It's out of stock. Oh, and so is the COD4 for $33 deal.

As for Gametap, I've been thinking about trying it out, since they've got Planescape: Torment and I hear that's really good too. But while I see the IWDs and the BGs, I don't see NWN in their catalog at all. Then again, these are the types of games that I'd rather be able to make portable on a laptop for playing while off the grid - so Gametap wouldn't really help me there.

I emailed GoGamer to see if they're getting any more in, or if it's being discontinued.

Here's what he means, and he's right - it has all of those listed in the OP, plus Dragonstone, Demonshard, and Temple of Elemental Evil, for the same price.

Better package and great find!, but does it have Icewind Dale 2? (it cuts off at Icewind Dale).

They really should have thrown PlaneScape: Torment in there
