GoGamer says "not any time soon but we do carry Ultimate Dungeon and dragon online and it has all of the game the back order package had."

Here's what he means, and he's right - it has all of those listed in the OP, plus Dragonstone, Demonshard, and Temple of Elemental Evil, for the same price.

In for one![/quote]

Includes:
  • (GoGamer's list was cut off, here is the content list from mobygames (found by BatmanNate))
  • Baldur?s Gate
  • Baldur?s Gate: Tales of the Sword Coast
  • Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn
  • Baldur's Gate II: The Throne of Bhaal
  • Dragonshard
  • Demon Stone
  • Icewind Dale
  • Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter
  • Icewind Dale II
  • Neverwinter Nights
  • Neverwinter Nights: Shadows of Undrentide
  • Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark
  • Temple of Elemental Evil

NOTES:
  • The latest patch for each game does not ship with this collection, download them at bioware.com for the BG and NWN series and download.com has the the patches for the IceWind Dale series.
  • No insane DRM or copy protection software, simple CD check on most (CD check in NWN has been removed in latest official patch)
  • Hundreds (maybe thousands of hours if you count community made modules for NWN) of single player and multiplayer fun!
  • NWN1 provides the option for Persistent Worlds, which are community built MMORPGs with no monthly fee!
  • These games are becoming harder and harder to find (save NWN) now that Interplay and Black Isle Studios went under... just try finding a copy of TotSC US version.
  • Windows XP 64bit support confirmed by Schadenfroh
  • Windows Vista 64bit support confirmed by masteraleph
  • WideScreen fix for Infinity Engine games (found by Golgatha)

Comments from myself on these games:
  • Baldur's Gate Series: This, IMO, is the best series of RPGs that has ever been created. It has a near perfect mixture of action and dialog. Great plot, character development, roleplaying opportunities and action!

IceWind Dale Series: Never played (yet), from what I hear it is a bit more action oriented than Baldur's Gate, but it is NOT a hack and slash Diablo like game.

NeverWinter Nights: Awesome and active modding community, thousands of community made modules at nwvault.com. These modules provide everything from single player campaigns that are superior to the one that ships with it, to multiplayer capabilities within these modules to even MMORPGs in the form of persistent worlds. I strongly suggest that you do not play the original campaign and just start with the expansion packs if you want to play without mods (the player made modules are far better)

NWN I always found amazing, yet somehow I hated Baldurs Gate with a passion, it was just to tedious to me. However typical fans of these should find all of the games great, especially for 50 bucks. Icewind Dale i never played but I heard good things.

NWN2 is rocking it up still though, my first time through I went monk, now im trying Fighter/Frenzied Berserker/Weapon Master as dual prestige class masher.

Holy crap... This is a steal... I own every one of these games individually, and I'm still thinking about getting it. Every game in this collection is at the top of my all-time favorite list of RPGs. Add Planescape: Torment and the Fallout series to these, and you have THE best collection, period.

That is impressive as hell. Too bad they couldn't have been a bit more completist and thrown in Demon Stone.

SSI's Forgotten Realms Gold Box series (and Dragonlance versions too.) Another nice collection if you can find them.

For some reason I never liked baldurr gate much but ice wind dale was a lot of fun - maybe I'm more of a hack it sort of person - or maybe ice wind dale had more audio and less text hum... oh well anyways highly recommend iwd/1&2. nwn is pretty good - you should play dagger fall - free module that is much better than any of the offi. compaign.s

Nice find. I just ordered. I didn't have any of the IceWind Dales and I had been looking for them. Yet more games that I have little time for

I'm seriously debating picking this up just to condense the number of discs I have, since I have the full version of all of these (i.e. 5 BG1 cds + expansion etc).

This is a steal. Great games! Some of the best! Pick up the Fallout 1&2 collection and you'll never have to leave the house!

Seriously this would be the 3rd time I buy Baldur's gate. Either I lose one CD or someone took my copy. It would be nice to have it all condensed to one disk.

Well, I bit the bullet and ordered it. I could not find the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion (us version) individually for sale and I wanted to try the IceWind Dale series. If any of you want just the baldur's gate series (I and II + Throne of Bhaal), I now have spares, link and my old NeverWinter Nights Diamond Edition.

If you buy this (and it may be worth it just to stop losing the stray installation CD), make sure to check out NWN community mods here.

Anyone else's order taking a while to ship? I bought it at about 7AM (Central Time) on the first of this month and the tracking at USPS still says "Electronic Billing Received"

Bah, paid extra for priority mail, or does USPS's tracking just suck that bad? I have not used anything other than FedEx for a while.

Yes it is true: USPS's tracking really sucks. About the only thing it can do is to tell you that the package has been delivered (later).

Mods to check out:

Baldur's Gate
[*]EasyTuTu
  • Basically a total conversion mod for Baldur's Gate 2, enjoy everything from Baldur's Gate 1 and Tales of the Sword Coast with BG2's Open GL engine running at 1024 x 768.
[*]BG1 NPC Project
  • Greatly improves the immersion by adding dialog interjections between NPCs and party members, intraparty dialog, even romances.

NeverWinter Nights

Community modules that are better than the actual game:
[*]Tales of Arterra - The Lost
  • Heavy focus on dialog, plot and character development, very few fights
[*]Tales of Arterra - The Awakening - 1.02a
  • sequel to the above
[*]Dastards Morrow
  • Another story driven module that focuses on plot and character development, but has a bit more action than the modules above.
[*]Shadowlords (not that great untill the last one), DreamCatcher (all of them are good, best of the series) and Demon all by Adam Miller, need I say more?
