The chinese question isn't very hard, and I could solve it a year ago when I was still in High School. 3D trig just looks hard. Maybe I can even solve it today if I sit on it a bit.

I don't see it in the article, but math guys I know, familiar with the subject, said that the English test is in fact, designed to find students who need remedial courses. It is not an entrance exam, despite what the article says.

What? I should hope math teachers can solve that... :/ It just looks daunting but unless I've missed something, you don't even need a calculator.

I could do both easily, and I'm a freshman in college. The Chines one just looks more complex when it's really just basic geometry.

And for the record, I hate math.

They may be great in Math, but what do they have to show for it? They can solve their 3D geometry problems all day, but when it's time to design a new car, they just copy someone else's 3D geometry

when I first came to the states as a freshman in high school, I was able to take pre-cal (I was failing Math back in hongkong); i felt weird skipping so I took Algebra II afterall...
