I recieved the monitor today, but there seems to be a problem. I got the EN-710E version. is therer any difference can I still get the rebatE?

Yes, you can still get the rebate, don't worry about it.

Yep, an EN-710e just came through my door. No problem for the rebate because the SKU is still 450426.

this is a good deal, i'm still using my en-780 from which i got for 40-50, i can't remember, but they make decent monitors, especially for this price.

A capsule review:

Colors are fairly good. Images are not very sharp (I didn't really expect anything better with .27mm dot pitch, but I was hoping...).

Using default Win2k pnp monitor driver, does 85Hz @ 1024 x 768. (In a 17", I've only been really happy with a Trinitron CRT @ 1024 x 768.)

A great deal, considering I can't get a B-grade refurb delivered to me for the same price.

I wouldn't want to spend all day looking at the screen, but this is a fine secondary monitor.

Edit: Well, it's an OK secondary monitor. Kinda grainy.

From the looks of the Staples circular at the website, this moniter is going to stay on sale through August 17.

And the rebate is also good for purchases made through August 17

has anyone else noticed this?:

if you goto staplesrebates website and search for rebate by sku number and pull up the one for this 17" monitor it goes to a Florida addy. But if you use the link on the prouduct page it takes you to a pdf printout with our normal Coppell TX addy. Any ideas on which to use? I printed the pdf and am mailing to TX. Anyone heard of staples using a FL place to process rebates?

Just find someone that lives near you and maybe the box came with multiple UPC barcodes, like the EN-710e did.

This is a pretty hot deal I think, I just went to staples and piked one up yestarday. I would say that this is a nice monitor for a second system, and of course the price is just nice!
