It's not a bad monitor for mom and the kids but the thing puts off heat like a 4 cylinder engine, I turn it completely off when I'm running to AC in my house.

This monitor isn't bad at all. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have OSD for adjusting, but for the price, it's well worth it.

Anybody knows the refresh rate at 1024 x 768 of Envision EN-710? What is difference between EN-710 and EN710e. Manufature's website only lists EN-710e model (www.envisionmonitor.com)

Couldn't find any real info on this monitor. The EN-770e has the same max resolution, @60Hz, so it looks like the EN-710 will handle 1024x768 @ 85Hz.

Wow! I thought I was the only one who noticed this. I use this monitor as my "portable" 3rd (21" and 19" on main rig are too heavy hehe) and it was getting to the point of almost being able to cook food on top of it

Pretty clear monitor with clear text. Not as bright as a Sony of course, but good bang for the buck. I used a coupon last time they had this deal at Staples sans problemo.

The EN-710e is supposed to be more energy efficient than the 710. Most Staples stores and Staples.com have the 710e so you'll get the newer model if you buy it.

Okay it's 8/4 and I'm not seeing a rebate online at staples for the EN-710e. The only envision rebate I see online in the staples rebate section is for the EN-775e, which they don't even have online. Is the EN-710e in-store only???
