I am sure if you can get the LCD in your hands, surely someone will give you a coupon.

i think if u get there upon opening, you'll be able to get one. this is still kind of a pricey item so it wont sell out as fast as say a $29.99 DVD player

I hopt Envision makes better LCD monitors, their CRT monitor are pretty crappy. $400 is alot of money to get stuck with a low end monitor that gives you a headache and quits working after one year

Anyone know what brand and model the mystery 19" LCD is for the same after rebate price at OD? It is listed on the front page of their ad in my local paper. The bottom of the front bezel looks very different than the EN-9110. Tia.

I was not the first in line but I was the first person out of Costco as this was all I needed. $476.13 with Nevada sales tax @ 7.25%.

I am at work now so have not been able to get home and hook it up. They had 30 or more on the floor. As I came out people were like where did you get that? I said to the right. The people behind the people who asked me said oh to the right ok.

So I assume a few people are looking for them. I hope my boss gets there and gets his early.

Got to Costco at 7:30am, but had to go back because forgot AmEx card. Got back to Costco at 7:55am, and there were 20-25 people. Went in, and there was a stack of 20-30 of these near the front. When I left 20 minutes later, a little less than 1/3 of them were gone.

Costco in SF on 10th and Harrison

Edit: Haven't had a chance to test it out yet and won't be able to until this afternoon. Hopefully it'll work out. Can I exchange this at any Costco in the future, or do I have to go back to the same one?

I picked one up as well

Max res is 1280x1024..with DVI max refresh is 75hz not 85

Costco return policy is great... I was told by one I could return for up to 1 yr..at the customer service desk .. iwas told it was returnable as long as I was an active member!

Is there a difference in ghost with analog vs DVI..I am using the DVI input with my radeon 9700 pro

wonder if the fact it does not have a mx res of 1600x 1200 is an important issue...

Anyone else test for ghosting in games..

I need to something like UT....

BTW will newer games ghost more than older games?

BTW the costco in Brandon had quite few left when I got mine at like 9:30am

Scored one in NY at 8am, there was about 10-15 on the floor. Got home hooked it up, everything looks and feels great... except I got 1 red dead pixel
Should I exchanged at Costco? I doubt they have any left. Or should I try calling Envision? Anyone had experience dealing with deap pixels?

Scored one at the Foster City, CA Costco. I used an AMEX card to get 2% back too (~ $8). I WAS asked for the printed coupon at the register. The rebate printed out for $40.00 and expires 11/30/2003. Its a Costco rebate and can be submitted my mail to Scottsdale, AZ or directly on the internet at Costco.com

I have used the online method for a previous purchase and I received my rebate within 4 weeks.

When I got to Costco at 7:55am there were about a line of 30-50 people. There were about 15-20 LCD's in stock and about half of those went in about 5 minutes. When I left at 8:45am there were about 8 left.

I saw one guy with two 19" LCD envisions and another guy with a 19" Envision LCD AND the 20" LCD TV.

I can only hook it up via analog right now until I get back to my computer at college, but so far it looks great. I'll post more about the monitor when I get a chance.

Well, I guess I'll be the first one to post about the quality of this LCD display...

The Good: I have not noticed ANY dead pixels.

The Bad: When playing DVD's, there are many artifacts that show up, looking like little jagged lines around objects, especially dark objects in front of light backgorunds. I assume this is because it's trying to show a "DVD resolution source" (720x480) at it's native resolution (1280x1024). Upscaling the signal like this causes general blocky-ness and the jagged lines I described before. Ghosting is also VERY apparent, especially with fast moving material, like "Terminator 2" for example.

The Ugly: It ghosts HORRIBLY in games, making them almost unplayable. Running 3DMark2001 (@default resolution and @1280x1024) really shows exactly how BAD the ghosting is. Star Wars: Galaxies is definately unplayable.

Backlighting of the screen is not very even. It is dimmer in the center than it is at the edges.

IMHO, a $100 19' CRT would kick it's a$$.

I'm taking this POS back to the store today...

EDIT: BTW, I'm using the DVI connection with a Gainward GF4 Ti4200, using the latest drivers/updates for everything...

Believe me, it really pains me to take this LCD back after wanting one for so long. Even scrolling text pages causes unacceptable ghosting.

Still pictures (JPGS from my Canon S45) look absolutely fabulous. The color is very nice.
But any video (MPEG, AVI, Dvix, DVD's, etc) all cause ghosting. For $470 I expected more.

If others do not agree with me, then MAYBE the display is defective and I will exchange it. The Costco by me had about a dozen left when I got there (around 11:30).

Just tested some video clips from mepg to avi, to divx, and all I can say I had the same problem Boobers had for playing videos. Now im seriously thinking about returning it :frown:

Sorry to hear you two had problems with your monitor. Thanks for letting us know. Saves me the trouble of not finding any parking space on their lot.

Ok..I just tried Halo...seems t orun ok..a bit slow but I think this because I am running at 1280x1024 for too high settings on my machine??

I do realize Halo may not be a good choice..

What exactly is ghosting..I do not believe I am getting ghost just a bit slow play..I usually run at 1024x768 with 4x AA and 16x Ansio with max textures and etc

I got to the Redwood City, Ca Costco at around 8:15 am (was late after going to Frys and BB) and the salesman said all 12 LCD's in stock were gone in the first 10 min! Guess I picked the wrong Costco.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I'm using my Costco bought Envision EN9110 now. There is no ghosting on any of my divx files, nor on my games. I have the monitor hooked up via DVI through my ATI 8500 128mb adapter.

The only complaint I have is that windows xp looks fuzzy. The text, unlike the comments here, is not that clear. Maybe I'll get used to that.

Otherwise, it is a good monitor. I tried Vietnam LOS, and Battlefield 1942... all no ghosting either.

the 8500 is prolly not churning out enough frames for ghosting to appear

I'm connected it to my GF4 Ti4200 DVI, games actually performed quite well for me. , not much sign of ghosting, I have no complains there. In windows, and text and pictures all displays great. Only thing is the video is very fuzzy when playing in full screen mode. Regular mpegs, divx, all the media player formats, and even some RMs all having the same problem of video become fuzzy, un-sharp, a bit distorted in full screen. I haven't tested any DVD because my drive is dead.
Now im struggling to decide whether i should keep it.

I had the jagged edges problem with DVDs at full screen, but that was fixed pretty easily by changing the refresh rate from 75 to 60 (using DVI input for GF4 4200). Only been using it for half an hour, but looks good so far. My desk also just doubled in size...

Have you tried clear type under display properties under the appearence tab..then go to effects ..this may help

I wonder if the ghosting is getting affected by vid card..in Halo my frame rate was low at times but I am pretty sure there was no ghosting...

Also I have another question..I thought on LCD panels refresh rate did not matter...so when WinXP defaulted with DVI to 60 hz....I chnaged it to 75hz and it did seem to be better

Shady06..what refresh rate were you at with ghosting?? 60, 75?
The fact you had ghosting may mean that the better the videocard the more likely this will occur..my 9700 pro may not be fast at 1280x1024 x32 turned up
wonder what I should turn down besides AA ...Ansio from 16x to 8x or more?
