Staples has the Envision EN-775E 17" Flat-Screen CRT Monitor for $139.98 and there's currently a $60 MIR. So buy $10.02 in fillers and use a $30 off $150 coupon. $139.98 + $10.02 = $150 - $30 coupon = $120 - 60 MIR = $60 + tax.

Looks like a decent monitor considering the price after rebate. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive flat CRT monitor with respectable 0.21 dot pitch (0.25 horizontal) and 3-year warranty, this might be worth consideration. It's not too hard to return to Staples for exchange or refund if necessary, too.

$60 is a great price for a flat screen 17" monitor.

Also, I noticed there is no limit as to quantity of monitors you can buy and submit a rebate for.

Staples did this years ago with the Pixie monitors. You could buy as many as you want and submit a rebate for each one.

Have to debate whether to mess with rebate or get Hitachi v700 for $105 w/ free shipping from Newegg, 3 year warranty and .24 dp horizontal. Shadowmask of course, not flat screen (please no flames, just stating the specs).

The $30 off $150 coupons come in the mail and are one time use only. I believe you have to be a Staples Business Rewards member to get that coupon.

I got the same monitor a while back and it is a very good monitor - really sharp and works well at high resolutions. The online Staples rebate that you can print and mail does not have an address yet, so I would recommend waiting until it is updated before buying one of these monitors.

btw, i just called staples and they said that customer appreciation weekend was last weekend. I called another store and they said they might be having one this weekend? any other verifications? you guys got an email notifying of the discounts?

Just received my monitor... Staples delivery guy simply left it at the front door and didn't even bother knocking!

As for the monitor, it's no short neck monitor, and not as sharp as LCD's which I've become used to, but the display is acceptable for the price after rebate... and there's no lag like with 25ms LCD's even...

BTW: I'm thinking of painting the front black, or using something to remove the silver paint to get to black. If anyone
has taken the front cover off before, please share how you removed it.

I got mine yesterday. In the instructions for receiving the rebate when using an online purchase method, it says that the original packing slip must be used for proof of purchase. Guess what? I didn't recive a packing slip. Have emailed customer service, but as of yet have no reply. Anyone else have this happen?


As far as the coupon required for the additional $30 off, I did a Google search for "Staples $30 off $150" and found a usable code #.

I have this exact monitor for use at a media workstation in the office.
Great deal for the price. I usually jump on these Envision deals when the $60-$70 rebates kick in.
Might do it again...the systems I build sell quicker, locally, when a NIB monitor is part of the deal.
The silver gray color is a little cheesy, though- looks like it was spray painted.
Again, for the price...it's a go!

Deal was dead a while ago but Staples usually has these monitors on sale every other week. Last week was the 19" Envision monitor.
