I don't think the $70 from staples will work because "Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions"

Q: Under What Circumstances Can My Rebate be Denied or Will I Receive
an Error Card?

A: Your rebate can be denied for the following reasons:

UPC bar code was not attached.
Copy of the purchase receipt was missing or not attached.
UPC bar code attached was invalid for the rebate program.
Purchase receipt attached was from an invalid store.
The mailing address indicated on the rebate form was a Post Office Box.
Duplicate claims were submitted for the same promotion.
Your rebate claim papers were mailed after the last postmark date.

Doesn't state anything about rebate form being copies. I have never seen a rebate being rejected because the form was a copy. I have sent in some rebates where the form was a copy and a bad one at that and it still comes thru. Else, maybe someone can locate a stack of these rebate and pass it out.

<< rebate forms are from outpost.com, (i saw them and just about to post)
Because outpost.com is not on the list of envision's site. so it may work for staples also.
>>

OUTPOST.COM is listed on envision's site as an online retailer!
The rebate forms is good then.

The problem is that Staples is not listed as a valid store for the rebate.

<< If you order online with the 30 out of 150 dollars coupon, will they honor the 70 dollars coupon?. I never ordered from staples online so I am afraid of using the 30 out of 150 if later I won't be able to get the money from the $70 one.
i wonder about this because when you see the screen for the rebate process (at staples website) it says you can not use it with other rebates. If they were mailed to different locations I would not worry much, but since both are processed at the same website, I assume they can find out you have use both discounts on the item. If that's not allowed of course.
>>

Never had any problem with Staples rebates in conjunction with their coupon. Even used it on the Win XP deal and already got my $200 rebate for the Fuji digicam!

As per Envision's Rebate Center Webpage

Participating Envision Retailers are as follows:

CompUSA
Fry?s Eectronics
BJ?s Wholesale
ABC Warehouse
American TV
HH Gregg?s
RC Willey
Nebraska Furniture
Brandsmart
Cowboy Maloney
Outpost.com
>>

notice as far as Envision direct rebates with regards to using Staples receipts are concerned you are wasting postage/time. Staples is a listed authorized Retailer but not under Envision's Rebate Center list of rebatable Retailers.

just an FYI for those of you jumping on this hoping to score big....

i emailed envision

i have purchased an envision en-710e from staples.com. staples.com is listed as a retail and online outlet on your website
(http://www.envisionmonitor.com/where-retail.asp) but not on your list of
valid stores for rebates (http://www.envisionmonitor.com/rebate-stores.asp).
is my monitor purchase from staples.com eligible for your rebate promotion?

thank you for your assistance.

and they responded with:

Staples is a retail store with their own rebate processing center

www.staples.com
or call
877 2666 6483 for questions answered

so it looks like the ONLY rebate that will work is the staples rebate, if you buy from staples. or you can go with outpost.com and get the $65 + $15 rebates.

on the bright side, $160 - $30 - $70 = $60 is still a pretty good deal on a 17" monitor

Basically, unless you get lucky, this isn't as hot as it first appears.

The break down, if im correct is this:
(1) 17 inch monitor, buy it at staples, and then you can only get the staples rebate since staples is not part of envisions rebate program and it's the EN-710, not EN-710e

(2) 17 inch monitor, but it at outpost.com, and you use the rebate they have and get a 17inch for $90 after rebates, but obviously u cant send that in to staples

(3) 19inch monitor from outpost and only get $50 rebate, so still like $180

anyone else see this differently?

My monitor box came with only one UPC code. Can any one spare one, that has one with 3 UPC codes?

I've bought over 6 of these monitors in the last 4 months that they keep having the great rebates with the $30 off. I've never had a problem with any of the rebates or coupons and have always received a check from staple within 3-4 weeks. And the check is from staples not envision. So im not really sure if staples sends you the money and then gets the money from envision. or if it's their own rebate. I'm sending the $65 rebate in, I've been to a fed jail it isnt too bad. If there's a problem. haha!!!

Since you only need a copy of the UPC and not the original, what would happen if you mailed off the rebate without cutting the UPC and then returned the monitor for a refund. Of course they'll accept it because the UPC was not cut. This happened to me. I had honestly intended to keep it, but it was a horrible monitor. I'm not wanting to commit fraud, but the rebates require you to buy an item, but the retailer lets you return it. No mention that I have to keep it. And with Best Buy allowing you 14 days after Christmas to return something, you may get the rebate before you return the item.

slickpants, what would possess you to even post something like that. You may not want to commit fraud but it's still fraud.

If you honestly wanted the monitor why didn't you just exchange it. The 1st one I got looked awful but I exchanged it and this one's fine.

it will not work. as i posted earlier, i contacted envision and asked if i could submit an envision rebate for a monitor purchased at staples. she said that staples runs their own rebates and is not part of their "valid stores" for envision's rebate program. i followed up the email with a phone call and spoke with a different CSR. he stated the same thing: if you purchase the monitor from staples, you CAN NOT submit an envision rebate. if you want to take advantage of the $65 and $15 rebates, you must purchase the monitor from the list of valid stores on their website. if the monitor is purchased from staples the ONLY rebate that you qualify for is the staples rebate.

i guess you can TRY to submit the additonal rebates, but dont be surprised when it doesnt work.

wesbc --- I have had rebates denied because I didn't send in an original rebate form. A $50 rebate on the KDS-Rad5 from officedepot.com and I downloaded the pdf from the OD website!!! Hard to get an original form when you buy online. Lucky for me, a local B&M CS rep took pity on me and price adjusted the $50 to my cc. Helped that I kept all my receipts and copies of forms mailed in.

Well IMHO the bottom line is this:

1. If you got the Envision monitor on Black Friday and have sent in the $100 Staples rebate, TECHNICALLY you won't be able to get the $70. The rebate form for both clearly states "not valid with any other rebates." Both rebates are getting directed to the same city in Texas, again decreasing your chances I think. However, I don't think it will hurt to try. I don't think sending in both rebates constitute fraud, since the two rebates are different offers.

2. The Envision manufacturer's rebate is only for participating stores, and Staples is not one of them. Even though Staples is listed as a retailer, it is NOT listed as a retailer who participates in Envision's rebate program. So the Envision rebates are probably void for Staples purchases, although, again, I don't think it hurts to try if you want to "invest" two stamps and a bit of time.

Just my .02.

this is just a fine kettle of fish...submit for $100 then submit to the same rebate house for another $70..??LOL...with the same receipt no less !!! ....chances are very good that you might get both rejected for mail fraud and prosecuted...(highly unlikely but you never know..these days who might be wanting an example )

Well, I'm pretty sure you won't get the Staples $70 rebate on top of the $100 one, and chances are you won't get the Envision rebates either.

As far as mail fraud goes, I guess it depends on how you interpret the lines "fraudulent submission of multiple requests could result in federal prosecution..." and "not valid with any other rebates, offers, or promotions." as printed on the rebate forms. To me, it sounds like it is the second clause that excludes you from getting both rebates, since it specifically forbids combining the two offers together. However, does sending in the $70 rebate WHICH IS A SEPARATE OFFER involve you in "fraudulent submission of multiple requests"? I think that one is a lot more open to interpretation, because when I initially read it, I thought it specifically forbids trying to send in the SAME REBATE more than once and not a different offer.
