I built up an Epox 8K7A+ last year. This board has raid which I used for my 2 20GB, 7200 rpm IDE hard drives in a non-raid setup. My IDE channels are used by a CD burner, DVD player, and an old Zip drive for my large data files (I'm writing a book). I use an Athlon Classic T-Bird 1.33 GHz on a 266 fsb, powered by a 300w AGI power supply. I use on board sound, GForce2 GTS 32 MB AGP video card, and W98SE operating system. I had no problems at all. Follow directions. Do not try to overclock until you have everything running to your satisfaction. Operating system and software should be checked for the latest updates once installed, download them before doing any overclocking. Overclocking can be fun if you like to brag about it, It really has little real world benifits since you must use benchmarking programs to see any difference as most humans can not tell the difference by just using there sences of sight and sound. I can recommend this board as I still have not had any problems with it. I might try a new Athlon XP 2200+ just to say I have one.
