Hello,

One day out of nowhere I went to turn on my computer as usual, but to my surprise could not get Windows 2000 Pro to boot up ? I kept getting blue screen error messages that would include things such as KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA, show errors in system files such as mup.sys and ntoskrnl.exe, as well as just a reboot. After trying to boot up in safe mode, last known good config, and tinkering with various values in my BIOS, I decided to remove unnecessary hardware. With only a PCI video card, hard drive, and DIFFERENT memory, I tried booting up but still got the errors. Baffled, I decided to re-install Win2k Pro. I hooked my floppy drive back up and booted with the four system restore disks, yet after reading off the 4th disk when it says ?starting windows setup? I STILL get a blue screen. Once it said something with ACPI.SYS, so I turned ACPI off in the BIOS and re-ran setup. Then it kept giving me blue screens with PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.

Right now I have no ideas left. The system was working fine, and then this happened out of the blue, without me messing with anything or installing anything new. Please, if anyone knows of a possible fix for this I would really like to know. Could this be a virus? Maybe corrupted BIOS? Any suggestions on what exactly to change in the BIOS? Also, I tried a different hard drive, but obviously that didn?t help. I have tried re-flashing the BIOS. I have an Enermax 430W PSU, which works correctly as it is currently powering my old computer which I'm using.

Thank you,
-Anthony

It could be your hard drive, I think I was having the same problem when I was trying to install WinXP on this new system with 87K7A I think I was getting the same error, took another drive and it works fine..
