EPOX 8KHA+ only beeps...no display..help...

I got my EPOX board today and slipped on a new retail AMP XP 1700 and 256 DDR Ram stick. Also have an audigy, a nic card, and GF2 Pro 450 AGP 64 DDR. I am not using PCI 1 at all. The board powers up and begins beeping at regular intervals. There is never any display on the monitor at all - no posting, no nothing. The LCD on board reads C1. Any ideas before I RMA this thing. I've been working on it for hours, tried everything I can think of. Please help if you can.

Reseat the RAM. OR try the RAM on different slot.

Regular beeps should indicate a RAM problem. As said before, remove and reseat. It also might not be compatible with the board. Try any other sticks you can get your hands on to check it out.

your RAM is bad or incompatible, as the error code C1 indicates (rtfm )
try another brand with some reputation.

Thanks for the help. For the ones who like to "over comment", I did read the manual and saw appendix B, but I know that sometimes there are more than one explanation for a particular event. Secondly, I am using life time guaranteed Crucial ram, which I believe does have some credibility - so thanks to you in particular, you have been more than helpful I am going to have to get another stick of DDR RAM locally, I received the Crucial RAM just yesterday - brand new, and I don't have a second stick anywhere. Could the beeping also be caused if the motherboard doesn't read the RAM slots? I read about others on this board having dead slots. I have moved the RAM stick to each of the three slots and it still just beeps with no display output. Thanks for the help guys. Im going to pick up some RAM and try that, then reluctanlty RMA the board on Monday if I have too.
