I'm considering purchasing a EPOX 8KTA3+ (thats the one with the HPT370 RAID controller onboard).
It'll be mainly used as a high-end workstation (Win2k, Photoshop 6, Ultradev 4, Fireworks 4, plus a million other apps simultaniously), and as such reliability is key (Ok, so it'll be used for LAN parties occasionally too, but thats not its purpose in life).
Here's what it'll be running in/with:
1x Aopen HQ08 CASE (300W)
1x Duron 800
4x IBM 75GXP 45GB
2x 256MB MICRON SDRAM (CAS2, PC-133)
1x SONY 145S (10x4x32x) SCSI CDRW
1x Leadtek GeForce2 MX 32M (OEM)
1x Promise ATA/100 Controller.
1x AVA2906 ADAPTEC PCI SCSI PC/MAC DB25 HOST ADAPTER
1x SB Live! Value (OEM)
1x Pioneer 6x DVD-ROM IDE
If anyone has experiences running this motherboard, it'd be greatly appreciated if you could share them with me.
