Epox 8RDA+ and ECC Memory

This is probabaly a dumb question but here it goes. The manual says it will support unbufferd non ECC Memory,
does this mean it wont work period at all with ECC memory or there isnt an option to enable ECC memory

I would like to order this board but right now as memory goes I only have 2 sticks of Crucial 256 meg ECC Will this work or am I out of luck.
I know that I wont be using this board to its potential with this memory but I would like to use it and not
spend the Extra cash right now unless I don't have a choice.

Also if anyone knows about the Intel PE chipset using ECC and\or non ECC memory is it the same deal.

The Intel 845PE can use ECC as long as it isn't Registered ECC, which yours is not (unbuffered = non-Registered). I don't know for a fact that nForce2 won't work with ECC in the real world, but the specs say it won't.

thanks for the reply and I did go and buy the Epox board and my ram works So im a happy dude
Does any one know what kind of memory speed I should be getting with this setup

2200+
Crucial 2100 DDR

yeah. ECC works just fine. I have Samsung ECC Memory on my Epox and no problems
