There was a screw between the mobo and case. Got it out. Plugged everything back in...booted!

Er, wait...only getting the red work light...30 seconds later...computer is off. Crap.

I haven't been able to get it back on since. I can confirm that the PSU works, and it is sending power to the mobo (keyboard lights flash when I flip power switch on in back of computer). Never got video on the only boot it made.

What the HELL is going on here? It was booting up fine before I removed the screw, now the screw is out, and it doesn't boot at all? This makes no sense.

Help!

Also, when I do manage to get it to power on with the solid red working light, none of the hard drives power on.

Sounds like PSU, because you can power up a HDD w/o there being a MB present. Try using another PSU. It may just be one of the rails out. Your can't judge the condition of the PSU by the led lights, that's just means it's "on" not necessarily working properly

You've probably tried, but check if you have the video card, cpu, and ram installed correctly. Try taking it out and putting it back in. Also, just double check with the wires. BTW, do you get any beep codes?

Ku:

I was getting beep codes before I removed the screw. Removing the screw fixed that, buuut...obviously it does nothing now. Whenever it does happen to power on, it doesn't post, I get no video, and it shuts off in about 10 seconds. No beeping. No hard drives power on. Case fans and CPU fan spin. That's about it.

Weird thing is, I have the case 80mms looped through the same power plug that the HDDs are hooked onto. Those are powering on, but the hard drives aren't. It seems like I'm not getting enough voltage to start them.

UPDATE:

I have managed to get it to power on again. I hooked a hard drive directly into the PSU (not looped through with the case fans).

Nothing seems to have power but the CPU fan (I unplugged the case fans completely). The drive won't spin. I'm worried that maybe all my drives are toast (all 3 of them seems unlikely, but I'm still paranoid). But it seems more likely that the PSU isn't coming up with enough voltage or wattage or whatever to power anything beyond fans.

What is up with all the 8RDA+'s posts lately? I hadn't seen anything about that board in months, there has been like 5 posts about them in the last couple of days? weird

BUMP!

I really hope the hard drives aren't dead. Is there any chance? I mean, it'll power on fans, but not HDs. :/

Shai is fat.

Try unplugging and reseating EVERYTHING, I've had this happen before where nothing will spin up, but it works after i reseat everything.

Try these tips (skip the ones you have tried).

If you are having trouble booting the system and getting a screen try the following multi-step procedure. Power off your system first before completing any of the following tips.

1) Check CMOS clear jumper JP1 (JBAT1 on some systems). Set for CLEAR for 5 seconds, then move back.
2) Check CPU host clock jumpers (if any) are properly set. Note: does not control memory bus.
3) Check your power supply. Should be 110/115v for North America.
4) Unplug all data cables for IDE and FDD from the motherboard.
5) Unplug all power supply cables attaching to your IDE and FDD drives.
6) Remove all cards and devices EXCEPT for video, RAM, CPU, CPU heatsink/FAN.
7) Move memory into a different bank, if available.
8) Unplug the CPU and reattach.
9) Ensure your CPU heatsink/FAN is attached properly to the CPU.
10) If you use a variable RPM fan ensure its set for full speed.
11) Retest.

12) If 1-11 do not help power off and test the motherboard outside the computer case to eliminate a case/motherboard power short.

13) Retest. If the board now works check for case problems. If the system still is not working continue...
14) You may have a possible hardware problem. Any device in the system may be a possible culprit. Use process of elimination to determine the cause. Swap out as many components as possible starting with RAM, CPU, POWER SUPPLY, VIDEO CARD (if present) and/or MOTHERBOARD.
