The Epox nForce2 8RDA+ won the gold award from Anandtech, so it seems like an excellent choice.

Mwave is a joke, I ordered this board from them there webpage showed in stock for 1 full day after I ordered and they go ahead and charge my card and tell me its backorded untill 12/30. never will I order there again untill they get a real time webpage like newegg has.

Same thing happened to me! Mwave was too good to be true... Showed In-stock for a whole day and I was wondering why I never got a shipping confirmation...

I have never heard of GameVE and CnetPC and NewEgg is charging $20 more than the others..... May just have to go with NewEgg or wait... I don't really need it until next week anyway when finals are over..... B-school is brutal.

Interestingly, for overclocking, I asked a similar question over at overclockers.com forums and people said that it's better to get a 1700 or 1800 T-Bred than a 2100 Palomino (!) Go figure.

Yea that what i just ordered from newegg is the 1800 tbred seems like people are having better luck with the 1800s than the 1700s at least higher overclocks.

Yup, I've got a 1600+ AGOIA on mine, I love leaving the FSB at 166 MHz. You could swear the processor was designed to run at the higher speed. BTW, GameVE is out of stock now anyway, so it's a moot point. But I ordered my board from there, they shipped it out the same day (Nov 26th).

Anyhow, for those of you fortunate enough to have actually gotten this board, take a glance here if you want to discuss this board. Insane3D started the thread for that very purpose, but so far nothing productive has come out of it because most of the people posting there don't actually have the board!

Who cares about an integrated GF4 MX? The MX is more like a GF2. The only good thing about the Nforce 2 is the dual channel memory, which is why I am gonna get one. The integrated sound also really does not seem that attractive.

Where is everyone getting these from??? I placed one order at MWave but they were out of stock and charged me before telling me that...... The next order was placed today from TCWO but low and behold they are also out of stock.... (why they don't say that on their web site is beyond me) This is driving me CRAZY!!!! I would order from CensusPC but I've never heard of them....

I got mine from newegg It came today, if they are out of stock it says so on there webpage and wont let you order something they dont have, that is why I will only order from them from now on. any other place I would call to check stock you might find one that way, good luck Mwave still has my $112, nothing that makes me more angry then being charged for something I will never get from them. I left a negative for Mwave on RR, If newegg can update there webpage realtime there is no reason Why Mwave cant, That shouldnt happen with a well established vendor.

I know, CensusPC isn't even listed on ResellerRatings, that's why I haven't put them up in this thread - maybe I should, but with a notice next to it. Seems people bought these up like crazy during the first wave - I know a lot of people put in preorders on GameVE back when they had it listed in mid-November.

For those who are still looking, PC Rapids and OC System seem to have the board in-stock. Beware their Reseller Ratings though (in the 3'ish range for both, yowza) - buy at your own risk.

Spidey, you got this board right? Can you look to see if it has soundstorm?

(I'm trying to figure out which nforce2 has the best sound since I'm not forking over $50-$75 on a stand alone sound card ever again)

EDIT: Non Pro or non + nforce2 boards have inferior sound.
Pro or + versions all use MCP-T+AC'97 codec, Avance Logic ALC650 except for Chaintech which uses PCI Audio, C-Media CMI8738/PCI-6ch-MX which is not as good as ALC650.
