I am experiencing extremely low memory perfomance. Configuration:
Epox 8rda3+ Nforce2 Ultra400 mainboard, Barton 2500+, 2x512 PQI PC 3200 DDR,
Radeon 9600pro, S-ATA Seagate 7200.7.
My memory read rate is as low as 1300 MB/sec (calculated in Everest Home edition), games also run very slow. (for example, on my machine GTA San Andreas is almost unplayable).
Memory timings are 2.5-3-3-7, memory works synchronous with FSB at 166 MHz DDR.
Latest Nforce drivers are also installed, OS is WIN XPpro+SP2. I tried using different memory modules but to no effect. Memory modules are in two same coloured sockets for dual channel to take effect. I tried using just one module for troubleshoting but performance remained the same. To my knowledge memory bandwidth should be at least 2500 MB/sec. I'm slowly running out of ideas, i tried virtually everything but my memory still runs like a SDR, not DDR. Big thanks in advance to everyone who even consider to help.
