Me too, no support if this blows then, not that I expected any from some random, understaffed company like Epox. My motherboard works, overclcocks, and has run stable for two years, can't ask for much more at $90.

Yeah, I was wondering why I could not find any of their board over at NewEgg... Wanted to pick up the AD580XR for my new build. Went with MSI instead, who along with Epox, are my favorite motherboard companies.

Still some Epox boards out and great deals too... still people at Epox, sure name may change, maybe, don't count that as certain yet at this point either, could see both companies marketing product...

You can get the 965 board for $49 and the n570 Ultra for $34 as well as many other from Epox HERE (click) - some even less, $19...

My 9NPA+SLI was my favourite board ever Epox was great for making boards that overclocked like hell without requiring you to pay top dollar for a super-premium board with loads of useless features. And I loved all the LEDs...

That is too bad because I also have the 9NPA+ Ultra board and love it so far. I was looking at buying another Epox motherboard for my next computer but it looks like that is not going to happen.

the sister company will remain worst case and as of right now they are simply pulling things back together in a different location...

I've always been impressed with the layout of Epox motherboards. They just look super 'clean' compared to other companies. The capacitors, MOSFETs, and voltage regulators around the CPU always seem to be neatly and thoughtfully placed in alignment, compared to many ASUS boards that look like someone marked the placement of various components by throwing darts at the board.

While I realize this doesn't necessarily translate into better quality or anything else, there is something to be said of a company who permits or promotes this kind of attentiveness to small details, even down to its lower-end product lines.

Compare these GF6100+405 mATX boards from Epox and ASUS:

shame that they always put their ATXPWR sockets in stupid places ...

That was my one and only complaint with lay-out, but Epox is hardly the only company to frequently place the ATX connector directly above or left of the CPU. It really ticked me off the first couple times I encountered that but I've gotten used to it now. I just use a rubber-band or cable-tie to hold the ATX power cable over to one side of the CPU instead of directly over it, and I've used a lot fewer Epox boards than ASUS, MSI, ECS, or ASRock.

In spite of my appreciation for Epox's super clean looks, I've rarely used their boards.

Maybe the name Supox will work. Epox sounds too much like epoxy glue. I don't know, but that kind of rang in my head when I read that name.

Gee, Connect3D and now them.

We built about 15 pc's with EPOX 8RGA+'s or 8RDA+'s. Every single one of them has died due to bad capacitors. A huge pain in the rear. I started sending them in to get RMA'd but that took too long so I just started doing them myself. I am just glad we switched MB mfg's.

My 8k5a2 kt333 is still going strong (knock on wood). I built this thing back in '02 with a AXP 1700+ @ 2.2ghz. I used it myself until I built my A64 machine in '05 and handed it down to my son. In another couple of months, I'll be building a quad machine, pass the A64 to him, and he'll pass the Epox and AXP down to his little sis. Hopefully, it will last another couple of years before it's retired.

I built many rigs using Epox mobos and never had any fail yet. I am typing this on a old 4PCA3+ socket 478 mobo and its one of about 10 I built back in the 875 chipset days.....

Sad to see them go.........

Actually I think you are referring to the 8RDA+, a fine board, mine is still operating flawlessly. They sold a ton of those to enthusiasts.

That's the saddest news I've heard for a long time. I always thought Epox was doing well as I have a stack of motherboard boxes that all say Epox on them.. I guess I just assumed many others were also using Epox. I sure hope Supox or whatever makes a similar reliable product.

We really need some reliable boards out again as in recent times many motherboard manufacturers seem to have taken a real stumble in product reliability.

Buy intel board? At least they don't focus on o/c, so they should have more room to focus on reliability.

Now, how actually good they are, I don't know, I have seen many Dell boxes (inside mostly intel mobos) at school that were unreliable for zillion reasons.
