Epox post Code - 1D

I came from vacation and my PC was locked up and I couldn't reboot it.. I have an 8RDA+ motherboard and the post code on the LCD shows 1d. According to the docs this means "initial EARLY_PM_INIT switch". Anyone know what this means? Is my MB fried?

You'll have to provide a bit more info on your system and what you have done so far to try and correct it. First, Was the system left on? If so, for how long? What did you do initially? When you say you "couldn't reboot it", are you saying it was on and didn't respond to your mouse and keyboard? Or was the system off and now won't boot? When you push the power button, what does it do?

Have you tried pressing the INS (insert) key to reset the BIOS during boot? Have you unplugged the Power supply for a few minutes, then trying to boot?

Hmmm. Seems to me he has provided the right amount of information. He wants to know what initial EARLY_PM_INIT switch (1D) error code means. I have no idea, but I would hope the Epox website would provide some insight.
Certainly the above suggestions are a good place to start in trying to remedy the situation.

Respectfully, no he/she hasn't. There are many different circumstances that could be in effect here. Getting the error code is one thing. Finding it's cause is not simple and requires more information. Do a test for yourself and try a Google Search with the line, "initial EARLY_PM_INIT switch". You will find mostly that it refers to several different errors; depending upon the BIOS builder. In addition, NONE of them explain what it means. They only give a cryptic (what I would call a guess) direction that it COULD point to. And those change a bit, depending upon the mfr.

Again, more info is needed in order to begin the process of solving the problem. Knowledge is King here.

Try unplugging it, and reset the bios using the jumper on the mobo.
