I picked this up a couple weeks ago on another Staples deal. Excellent little printer for the price.

it was better when they had this and APC UPC for $5.00 after MIR. but pretty good printer.

You can pm staple to OD's $29.88 clearance price i(f you can find an OD store that still has it). Combining with Staple's $30 (is that right?) rebate, you get it for free. I did this, but one manager refused to pm saying after rebate price is the same. Went to another store and the manager did it with no problem.

One note, though - I was surprised to find that the printer did not include the USB cable. Is this "standard" for USB printers these days?

I bought this printer three week ago from Staples.com,and it DIDinclude the USB cable inside the box,even though it says USB cable not included on web site and on the box the printer comes in.

i bought 2,
one with usb cable (with a sticker says free usb cable with purchase on the box),
one without.

the box of the one with usb cable is pretty old and near damaged, the number on the bottom is .....0 .
the box of the one without is very new, the number is ......2 .

i just bought 2 of them from staples B&M, then used a code for $25 off my $100 purchase at the register( i bought a magic marker to bring the total above $100). then he printed 2 rebates for me for $30 back. I paid cash and got him to print me a duplicate receipt.

Your not supposed to post codes here. Delete it before you get your wrist slapped. I don't think my staples will take a coupon code without an e-mail print out, or a physical coupon, or some such thing.

I never saw a staples that printed out coupons at the register. Where is this staples?

I hope the rebate forms that printed out are different than the ones online. The ones online specifically say one per person/family/address/etc.

also, it's true that the rebate says one per person, family address etc, however one printer is for me, one is for a friend. He will send one, I will send the other. I think it's perfectly legal and kosher.

Hmmm..... I hadn't thought about this before. A lot of rebate forms say &quot;One rebate per household/address/etc.&quot; It says rebate.
So my question is if you buy something and it is delivered and billed to your address, can the rebate be sent to a different address?
So, say you buy several such things, all sent to and billed to you. There is no foul if all of the rebates are sent from different addresses/households/etc.
Is this kopasetic? Is there a lawyer in the house?

it is, but getting a 6 foot usb a to b cable for $10 at Radio Shack (cheapest I could find in town) was a thorn in my ass. I wish I had an extra a/b cable lying around, then it would be an even sweeter deal. still, it's the best printer deal I've ever seen, so I can't complain.
