Staples has Epson Stylus Color 880 Refurb. printer with warranty for $59.98 (qualifies for free shipping) minus a $10.00 mail-in-rebate = $49.98 + tax total.

On-line or B&M, 1/10 - 1/19.

That's less than 2 Epson ink cartridges. I have one of these 880's now and I'm happy with it. I use generic ink ($2.50 BLK; $4.50 Color).

This is an awesome printer. My favorite so far...got mine for ~$50 refurbed from outpost. To make this deal hotter, buy two printers, use the $20 off $100 coupon and send in 1 rebate (1 rebate per name/address/household) to get 2 of these for $~45 each.

I don't see why you can't use two rebates for two printers. How hard would it be to get a friend or neighbor to let you use their mailing address to get the second $10 check? In any case, there is a chance that you won't get the rebates cause it states that it cannot be combined with other discounts or whatever. I'm sending two rebate forms in regardless. Do you think they're gonna have much of these refurb printers in stock at the stores? I just ordered cause it's free shipping anyway.

Woohoo! Thanks =) I picked up one of these for college sometime in late July/August and it's worked out awesome! My parent's HP 722C started having problems a week or so ago and I started looking for another cheap Epson but couldn't find anything except the refurbished 870 at Epson's site. Very glad I waited on ordering a printer now

Thanks again for the heads up!

it's an awesome printer...
i still prefer my 980 over 880... which i got from free after rebate deal... last year.

880 is just a bit slower.

it's a shame that there's no coupon that i can sweeten the deal with.

man... i couldn't resist.
i guess my sister and my sister in law can both use one.

i used 20/100 coupon to bring down my total to 99.96+5%tax-10rebate =94.96/2 = 47.48.

$48 for 880 ain't bad at all. even if it's a refurb.

The 880 is so much faster and quieter than the new 6-color 780.

So good that I want to buy a second one for no logical reason

Sounds like something I would do. However I can't justify doing it considering I have a brand new 875 still sitting in the box that I bought less than a month before buying the 880 from the Dell screw up.

Everyone should buy

Epson Stylus 880 Refurbished Color Inkjet Printer $59.98
478650

Epson T020201 Color Ink Cartridge $24.35
442371

Block Financial TaxCut Basic CD $14.95
476239

Sanford Sharpie Fine Marker, Black $0.89
623272

Bring the total to $100.17 then subtract the $20 off $100 and you have $80.17 then minus the $25 MIR ($10 for the printer and $15 for the TaxCut) bring the total to only $55.17 and a free INK refill, with TaxCut and a permanent marker.

fwfan what the heck are you talking about?
everyone should buy all those items?

why are you recommending people to buy epson cartridges for $25?
?

nevermind the tax cd and the sharpie....

but the ink cartridge is just unacceptable.

even if it is 'cause you dont' like the generic cartridges...
it would be a wiser investment to just purchase two... even if it's only for the cartridges in the second printer.
then you'd get both bw + color. that would make much more sense.

all in all, i don't believe in spending extra money to buy epson catridges... especially when generic ones are avaiable.

Epson Stylus 880 Refurbished Color Inkjet Printer 478650 1 day $59.98

Staples Premium Glossy Ink Jet Photo Paper, 8 1/2" x 11, 9mil, 471865 1 day $20.99

x2 $41.98

Subtotal:
$101.96

Coupon Code(s):

70447: -$20.00

Shipping:
$0.00

*Total:
$81.96

This is more like it. One of the best reason to buy a 880 is to save up on ink. Also. You would probably want to print photos with these printers. So For $72 (after rebate), you can 200 sheets of 47lb photo glossy paper and a awesome printer. And NO, do not buy epson ink unless you are printing lots of high quality photo. In the life time of this printer you will have saved at least $300 worth of ink

Thanks for the deal, just ordered one myself with the coupon

This seems liek a lot better than my Lexmark Z32 (25 bucks per catridge and quality isn't all that sharp)

I've got one of these printers and I love it! Fast, quite, excellent quality and really cheap OEM ink carts. I gave my HP722C away after getting this gem because the cost of ink was ridiculous. I'm getting another one just to have around for a spare. Thanks for the hot deal.

I would like to second what z80 said. great printer, and the cheap ink is icing on the cake. I did up some pics before the holidays, and was very impressed. And it was with the generic ink too.

What other places are there to get cheap toners and cartridges? Megatoner is cool but they don't have every damn model. I'm looking for cheap refill for my sharp fax machine that's not listed at the megatoner site.

haha, my mistakes. I didn't know they had generic ink that cheap. The paper is a great idea for this printer.

Thanks vsfoxe,
I have been looking for a hot deal on an older refurb Epson printer. The one I have been looking at have been the 1440 dpi though. I'm glad I waited. We had at work one of the 800 stylus color printers and we printed consistently a ream or more of paper a month( 1 black cartridge/mo) We have had this printer for 4 years and counting, still going strong.

http://www.megatoners.com/index.html This place has about the cheapest generic. While I generally have excellent success with Megatoners, the last generic 880 ink I got yielded results that definitely didn't look as good as Epson ink. After 30 minutes or so of tweaking the photo driver, I ended up with a custom photo setting that works excellent with this particular batch of generic. As for clogging the print heads, I have had worse problems with Epson ink then I have with generic ink. And the price can't be beat. I just ordered three black and three color cartridges for less than $25 shipped.

The 880 print driver is really nice in that you can make as many custom settings as you like and easily scroll through them.

This printer really flies on black text.
