Winder, have you checked UPS.COM for your shipment status? You can use your order number with the "track by reference number" option to see what's up.

The funniest thing happened today. My 875DC is still CBO (though it's still supposed to be delivered on the 19th). Last week I received the package of paper clips that I added to bring the total over $100 so I could use the coupon. Today when I came home UPS had delivered ANOTHER box of paper clips!

My printer has never come. I've been turning into a statue as I am still waiting for my printer.

Did you get a refurb? Because I got one today. I'm stopping by my local OM and getting it exchanged for a new one. I know they have it in stock.

tazmania & MadCityGuy--
I'd take my officemax.com receipt down to the local OMax store, and ask 1) and nicely request that they fill your order at that price if they have any in stock or 2) Maybe your store can fulfill your online order from a different B&M.

For example - where is Luk located? Maybe your store can have his store send you one.

3) Or maybe the .com customer service department can manually fill it from a different warehouse. I'd definately call and be a squeaky wheeel to the .com 800# and get some extra inks or something for the inconvenience. IT's been a long long time since the deal ended and they should have been in touch with you.

If you go to the B&M, have the 800# for corporate written on your online order email printout (with a note that's what it is) might help grease the wheels a little.

My printer is still CBO but I have the two packages of paper clips that have arrived. If the printer gets cancelled will I get charged for the paper clips plus shipping since the total is less than $50?

Scranton, PA has still several of them. Just came back with a brand-new printer. Cool Never got the paper clips though! :| BTW, what's really weird is that my printer was clearly refurbished/returned. It even had an invoice from OM describing the problem. That was the weirdest problem I've had with this order.

Ok guys, I think this deal is pretty cold now. Check out this link:

Epson Fiasco

Basically it looks like all of the printers we are getting from OfficeMax are customer returns from their "Buy Back" program. From what I read it looks like these printers can't produce a stable photo print, after a week or more the photo's tend to develop a bad orange shift. Epson went through numerous revisions of their photopaper trying to fix the issue but in the end there was nothing they could do about it. So Epson ended up buying back the majority of the printers. I'm sure that is why we are getting them so cheap and why most of us are receiving "refubished" looking boxes.

I'm going to return mine this weekend.

Have had mine for over 2 months no orange tint yet. The printer seems to me to produce very good quality prints. The printer is very sturdy also not cheap plastic like some of the rest and the built in card reader is great for moving photo's. etc

«I'm going to return mine this weekend.»

?? Do you actually have a problem with the performance of the printer you received? The color shift problem is very old news and has been extensively discussed by professionals and in computer magazines. It is caused by atmospheric conditions and the ink used for photo printing. It can happen with any Epson (or Canon) photo-printer. As noted in the ZD article though, less than 1% of users have reported having the problem at all.

As far as it being refurbished, we haven't seen any refurbished units in the ones we've received but it wouldn't bother me if we had. Epson refurbished units come with the same warranty as new -- 1 year with an instant exchange program. You can't find better warranty service from any printer manufacturer.

Buy.com is featuring the same printer for $160 this weekend so we're still going to wait for the final two orders from Office Max and see what happens.

I declared it dead bc I searched the Office Max site a few days ago and could no longer find it. If you can find it, go for it! And let us know and I'll edit my post. Also I don't think OfficeMax is the kind of store that 1) sells refurbs and 2) would do so without clear notice.

Athena,

Thanks for the Link, I feel much better about keeping this thing around now. Of all the links I found none of them had anyting positive to say about this problem. They all seemed to indicate you WILL have problems eventually and that this design flaw doesn't exist in other printers from other manufaturers.
