OMG, that is so funny and so gross at the same time.Equifax.exes have stopped responding to the system because they're having a party due to the large windfall they'll get from being incompetent.
Execs having a party:
Why would we want to pay double?Yes I sure can. I'll even give you the family rate.

I guess there is a lawsuit in place for $70 billion. Seems a little low considering how many people were affected and the severity of the breach.
Equifax Market Cap: 13.60B for Sept. 11, 2017
Equifax Total Assets (Quarterly): 7.058B for June 30, 2017
thx.How to set up a credit fraud alert - https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0275-place-fraud-alert
They're good for 90 days and can be renewed indefinitely. Only need to alert one credit agency and the others will be informed. Entitles you to free credit report from each agency every 90 days (double check that last bit.)
Right in the heart, Dave, in the heart. Why would we want to pay double?
I think there is a simple solution to this. All affected consumers should be snail mailed random six digit PINs that will be needed to apply for credit or make changes to contact information on a credit report. This way criminals cannot open credit accounts or have bills come to an address or email address only they can access.
Isn't that what they do with a credit freeze? Also similar to FSA (FAFSA) PIN (though they switched over to ID system fairly recently).
I tried TransUnion but it kept crashing so I went to Experian. That went very smoothly. Here is the message I got on completion.thx.
Experian website sucks. wouldn't allow me to add fraud alert.
"We are unable to honor your request for online access."
Transunion was easy peasy!
All of them... and there are 4.do you need to freeze at all three beaureaus or just one?
Credit freeze won't affect any of those things. It only prevents people (even you) from pulling your credit to apply for new credit. And since they can't pull your credit and check your credit history, they won't approve any new credit. All your existing credit and loans works and functions as normal.I have a question about credit freeze... Would I be able to sell my house if I freeze my credit? Would it impact address changes with various agencies (USPS, banks) and credit card company? (Sorry, I am a totally n00b when it comes to credit)
