Bonaire trumps Aruba as far as the A B C islands are concerned. In my humble opinion at least.

Same here (Sunrise), screens around pool got beat up. Side panels easy enough to replace; the roof panels were a pain.

I had put up plywood panels on windows (pre-measured and drilled) and spend the previous day climbing up 3 coconut trees to clean out the bombs.

Two trees survived, the third (different variety) at the back pool corner received some disease and died a year later.

Neighbor had a 24" tree limb lay down on their roof; did not go through it luckly.

Took three of us, a good day of chainsawing to cut it up and off the roof.

Co-worker down in Kendal got hit hard. Had a vintage Camaro that became a pickup. I spent a week helping him out, cleaning tree from front and rear + pool. Shuttled water, fuel and food to him every couple of days. Went up to Orlando to get generators for his neighborhood.

If it stays weak, it heads into the Gulf, won't have the wind shear that's keeping it from strengthing, and then it gets fun to watch. One of the models says Texas, one says New Orleans. So, this could get interesting.

I just realised that this may affect my dad's flight on Friday. :\

I'm not particularly concerned (at this point at least). Doesn't look like it will be a strong one if it does hit us. We've got plenty of water, batteries, etc. and several family members' houses in the near vicinity if it does get bad.

More hoping we get a calm night Friday. Fish usually feed nicely before a storm.
