Circuit City -- Brick and Mortar...referring to the storefront rather than the website.

however you want to do it ... if you haven't played ANY oblivion, start with the oblivion MQ


but definitely install Oblivion first


i played Oblivion last year ... over 1000 hours to Level 92 without cheats or the console ...
then another 250 hours exploring the user mods and expansions

SO

i just started with a *brand new* character and headed directly to SI ... i like it a *lot* better than Oblivion's MQ

when i am done i will head to the Knight's Quest

Do NOT install SI without installing the 'fix' ... or wait for the official patch

LEVEL 92?!
I thought it stopped at lvl 52 or something :Q
I just got the game for 360 and it is nice as hell, but I'm only lvl 15

you have to exploit the games mechanics by going to jail and losing skills ... then regaining them and leveling beyond what is 'normal'
[you eventually get a message "All your abilities are as high as they can go ... you cannot improve upon perfection" ]


i did *not* want to take a Level 92 Character into Shivering Isles

so i started all over with a new character ... had a blast in the Sewers ... as i wasn't just trying to "survive" and figure it out ... after a 'day' in oblivion a gateway opens to the SI expansion

currently, my character is still Level 2 and i am 1/4 done
[i'm exploiting the game's mechanic's again ... i choose attributes as "majors" that i will NOT use .... that way you are always "stronger" than the NPCs you face that are at the *same level*
-in Oblivion, your enemies level with you ... if you are a "strong" level 2 as my Xan is - he is mostly "apprentice" and can easily take the strongest [level 2] enemies ]

piece of cake


remember get the *fix* or DO NOT install S.I. - wait for the official patch if you must ... SI will "corrupt" Oblivion after about 50 hours of play ... faster machines quicker.

Just FYI, there is now a Beta Patch from Bethesda that should fix the problem.

1000 hours, that is dedication. i was bored to tears after 70 hours or so, the game becomes quite repetitive after playing it so long.

i might try out SI later though
