thesurge, I was talking to you in the 0544 empw opty thread, and you mentioned a new 12/21/05 9npa bios. Did you ever flash to that version, and if so, what is changed/fixed from the previous ones? Since you cant seem to get non-standard memory dividers to work in a64tweaker, I would be interested in knowing whether the newer bios has more memory dividers.

Also, Son of a N00b, is it possible for me to get a link to where you found the info about the 9npa problems with non-standard dividers or with a64tweaker? thanks a lot!

Here is an article where they had no problem adjusting memory dividers using a64 tweaker

I am having trouble finding a link to the forum where I read people where having trouble with non-standard memory dividers on the epox, but I would definately try flashing your BIOS to the latest version
here's an article about new dividers with E3 stepping, it also used to include a list of BIOS's that supported them

Hmm...nice thread, but I don't know if all that is necessary. I only use Prime95 for stability testing, MotherBoardMonitor 5 for monitoring, and Memtest only in the direst of siturations. I OC through system BIOS.

stressprime is the same thing as prime 95 ? I haven't run prime 95 but stress prime has my CPU running at 51 c but S&M had it hitting 57 C.

stress prime runs the same tests as prime 95, but has a different easier to use interface(GUI as described in the OP)

I am pretty sure running 3Dmark 2005 in loop mode for a couple of hours will be efficient to test your SLI system. Just make sure to monitor temps and voltages while doing so.

Yes of course, the 19.95 version is not any different then the regular pay for version (Advanced-$29.95) except the 19.95 version is a download and no installation CD is inculded.

Understood, but that's not what their website says. It says only the PRO version offers this feature.

Oops I misunderstood your question. I do believe that the Pro version is the only one that can be used in loop mode, that is not to say you cannot still stress your system by rerunning the tests over and over again until you are satisfied.

Man that sux! I was willing to buy the Advanced version. That's a poor business decision on their part. Oh well, guess I'll stick with the 2001 version for stress testing.

GHOST- Always before overclocking ghost your hard drive this way if the OS becomes corrupt you have a quick way of returning to where you started. This has saved me many a corrupt file. It only takes 5 minutes and restores back in about the same should everything go belly up.

Yeah, that's important. Any decent MB should have a PCI bus lock, but if not, OCing your PCI bus over ~38Mhz has a big risk of HD corruption. I haven't had any corruption from doing hard shutdowns after a system freeze, but there's a small risk of corruption there too.
