I'm sure there are other models from EVGA, GB, etc with the faster memory NVIDIA spec'd in March but here is the MSI model.

You can pull ~ 30mHs out of a 1070 at around 100-110watts. They're really great cards, just expensive. I have four of them and I'm a fan.

1) 610 sol/s in ZCash
2) 430 in Lbry
3) 750 with skein
4) 38.5 Mhash/s in Ethereum (about 36.5 when dual-mining)

They're simple tweaks using Afterburner (and not the edited bios you would do for AMD cards). For the non-Eth coins, I would reduce the memory clock to as low as possible and increment the core clocks until it became unstable. I typically end up with a memory clock of 4500 MHz (as reported by Afterburner) and core clocks in the 1600s MHz at a reported power use of 160W. I didn't want to bump up power use by 100+ W just to get the final 15-20% of performance.

For Ethereum, I would increase the memory clock to 5900-6000. Even then I find that the hash rates would hit a ceiling with a core clock of only about 1500 MHz.

Thanks. There's a decent sale on an Asus FE edition 1080 Ti at NewEgg that's I'll probably pick up. I wish I knew more about Vega as the sale ends tomorrow but I'm tempted to get a couple just because of how power efficient they are. 38.5Mh is respectable for Ether hashing and 610 sol will earn a few hundred a month.

Yep. I've seen some reviews show decent overclocks past the 9000mhz too so I'm curious what that translates into for mining. If I remember correctly my buddy is getting just over 23mhs out of his 1060 with a +600 OC on the memory but he has the older version.

Not bad. I'm wondering though if it makes more sense to spend another 100 and grab 1070 on sale since they hit around 30 - 32Mh when tuned. Or 28Mhz with crazy efficiency.

I don't know what algo hush uses but that sounds fast. I think the advantage of the Auros and other top of the line 1080 Ti's is they kind of max themselves out or require just a few changes to get the most out of them. That's a pretty cool time saver.

Well just watched the pathetic Vega showing at Computext. What a disappointment. Time to buy some 1080 Ti's, I wouldn't be surprised if Vega is slower than the 1080 (non Ti) at this point. ThreadRipper looks awesome though.

That would be terrible if Vega is slower than a 1080 in gaming, but maybe all those shaders will help with mining? Only thing is, no concrete retail availability has been set I think, which sucks.

OK after some research I'm staying away from the FE edition 1080 Ti. As much as I like blower style fans the Ti's TDP overwhelms the cooler. I like to keep my temps around 75C or below.

So now I need to find the best after market 1080 Ti for the price. So far the regular Aorus is looking good to me.

For ZEC, about 460 sol/s at 110 W, core clock in the high 1500s and memory clock at 4500 MHz. Going up to ~180W gets about 550.

no I guess not. I assumed it was going to be a hard launch after all these delays. silly me! We will probably get an NDA date at Siggraph for September and retail availability for Christmas lol
