Even if it is real it is only 200Mh for $3500? Lol you can build a gpu rig with those hashrate at less than $2000(maybe)? Not to mention if vega claimed 70-100Mh/s is true or volta geforce launched (around 60Mh/s), the only one going to profit is the shovel's seller lol.Is this real?Ethereum asic miner?

why bitcoin cost 500USD more than yesterday? It will drive again all other coins up OMFG.This mining craze will really never end.
So pretty much another mining mega craze on top of already super big mining craze? We will probably wont be abble buy GPU for MSRP next year or so?There's a lot of pentup demand for Bitcoin which was on hold until the fork. Many analysts have a $5,000 target for BTC. Expect the other coins to follow suit proportionally.
Professional mining software developer here.
Ethash (the proof-of-work used in Ethereum) is memory bandwidth bound.
1 Ethash requires 8KB of memory bandwidth, 1 MH requires ~7.8 GB of memory bandwidth (1000000*8KB/1048576 ~= 7.8GB).
Vega56 has ~409.6 GB/s; 409.6/7.8 ~= 52.5 MH/s
Vega64 has ~483.8 GB/s; 483.8/7.8 ~= 63.4 MH/s
Both versions use SKHynix's HBM2 memory, which is a 1.6Gbps part @ 1.2volts (SKHynix's Q2'17 Databook). This is the memory speed in Vega56. The Vega64 runs the same part @ 1.89Gbps meaning it is factory overclocked and unlikely to go faster.
Tldr: Peak Ethash performance unlikely to exceed 65 MH/s on Vega64 and 55 MH/s on stock Vega56.

Not anymore . . .
It will likely be worse.
RX 480 8GB with Samsung memory at stock gets 24MH/s. That's 8GT/s memory with 256GB/s theoretical bandwidth. 24MH/s = 192GB/s, or 75% efficiency. There was a discussion of maximum achievable performance with Ethereum and said 85-90% would be a realistic figure. 100% doesn't exist in reality.
Not only that, Vega FE has serious problems achieving anywhere near the theoretical bandwidth in actual tests: http://www.pcgameshardware.de/Vega-...elease-AMD-Radeon-Frontier-Edition-1232684/3/
If the bandwidth in Ethereum is 400GB/s, 85% efficiency would mean 40MH/s.

Not to mention ethereum mining can be counted in months left.
Yup. All this. A TON of people are moving from ETH/alts into BTC because of the fork. I fully expect BCC to crash and die within a month or two and for people to also dump BTC after end of Aug when everything is solidified. ETH/alts will be depressed and undervalued until this mess is over but I see potential FOMO moon lambo action happening before the end of the year, possibly even before Oct.

ethereum is already 300USD up 50% from last week.It is again viable buying GPU for mining?
According to my napkin math, ETH is currently at ~$2.16 per month per MH/s. If you like that number then go right ahead, but not too long ago ETH mining brought in more like $5 per month per MH/s so make of that what you will.
I know it doesn't make sense but I'll probably build a Vega rig if they mine anywhere near 60Mh. I also would do it just to annoy all the entitled gamers who think videocards are just for PC Gaming
Same, without the annoying part.
Actually I'm in need of a new rig and I was going to build a Threadripper Rig, but the Vega bundle changed my mind. Ryzen it is. Don't know if I'll pickup more than 1 card, maybe, if it mines well and has a decent chance of hitting ROI.
