Are they redesigning bus barns to account for EV fire risks?

AFAIK they are mostly outside because weather is not much of a concern in LA.

Good thing combustion vehicles don't carry any flammable fuels...
I know I'm being a smartass, but it's important to note that fires occur on gas and diesel vehicles as well. If the occurrence rate is dramatically different for EVs, then yes that is a safety issue that needs to be addressed. But it's not like the risk is 0 with ICE vehicles and some value close to 1 for BEVs

ICE fires are a lot easier to put out than EV fire.

I think we should move to EVs but they have their own set of issues.

How is a country built on surveillance not have fire crew at the scene right away?

Yeah however lithium fires put out more heat and we as a society need to figure out how to deal with them more efficiently

I don't need an "adventure vehicle" and I'm ok with my dong size so I don't need a huge pickup to begin with to not-haul stuff around the suburbs.

Fair enough. I don’t need my F 150 for adventure or suburban hauling, but I do need the extra capacity owing to my dong size. Big springs and big girls help me to not bottom out. It’s also excellent for keeping in practice driving something big.
