Hmmm...
First off, I don't test these specifically but have been following the thread here:
http://www.ctechnet.com/hardware/asus.htm#10100
Worked with P2B-LS rev 1.02 or up. (confirmed)
- Worked with IWill Slocket II Rev 1.1
- Worked with Asus S370-133 Rev 1.01
- Worked with Slotek SL- 02A++
- FC-PGA 500E Worked with overclocked frequency to PIII 515/103, 560/112
- FC-PGA 550E Worked with overclocked frequency to PIII 566/103, 616/112
- FC-PGA 750E Worked with overclocked frequency to PIII 840/112
- Normal operating temperature around 38 degree Celsius with 1.8 Volts.
- Worked with bus frequency of 75MHz, 100MHz, 103MHz, 112MHz, (Slocket must be set to auto bus frequency detect. Set the bus frequency jumper on motherboard)
- Worked only with 1.80 volts or up on FC-PGA (System will not boot if set the jumpers on Slocket to 1.60 volts)
Rev 1.04 is required for proper voltages with the FC-PGA chips. Older revisions MAY work with those chips, albeit not 100% ideally. For example, my supposedly incompatible P2B (not LS) works, but in only in 0.1 V increments. If I set the slotket at 1.65 V, it USUALLY boots at 1.7 but every once in a while it refused to boot. If I set it at 1.7 everything is perfectly fine though. However, I know one guy on this board with an even older P2B who could not get his Cumine to work at all, until he set his slotket to 1.8 V. No voltages below 1.8 would work.
With your 1.03, so far no one has been successful below 1.8 V, but 1.8 V works fine. I dunno how many people have submitted their experiences though. If it works, fine. If it doesn't then you may be SOL with a Slot 1, because you can't manually set the voltage. If that is the case, then a better bet would be a FC-PGA with slocket which has voltage jumpers. Note that as of last month there were no slockets that compensated for a motherboard's inability to run below 1.8 V.
