U guys cant imagine how good of a price this is. When we were buying stuff for our home theatre, we got this remote but the gold version and its worth every penny at 500 dollars. the smooth on remote animations, and learning capabilties are awsome. Plus the backlighting illumintor rocks. For the price it is so worth it though.

That is an awesome price for this remote! When I picked mine up it was $350.00 without the docking station (which I picked up later for an extra $60). Anyone looking for a universal remote for their home theater would be well served looking into one of these.

Jimmy - do you have the Marantz? I know the European version of the Pronto is silver, but my Pronto is black, and I had thought the only gold version was the Marantz RC5000.

Isn't the Second version of the Pronto coming out soon? I think it just has added memory, the Silver color is standard on both Euro and US versions, along with a few other features I believe. That is a fairly decent price. I got my Euro pronto from Let's Automate, even though the site is in Europe, it is operated by I'm guessing a few people, and this place has unbelieveable customer service, and they have your item shipped half way across the world in less than a few days. I would definitely recommend purchasing from there even though they are a few dollars more than this site.... But, this is a great remote, if you can wait, wait for the newer model coming out soon.

The New model actualy has not much of additional FREE memory because it has a device IR database stored in the Pronto Ram, so it is not much of imporovement. I use the Euro Pronto for a while, replacing many remoted in my house, it's a great remote and I don't even use half ot it's 1MB memory. For the deal you mentioned above, I wouldn't think twice. I paid $330.00 for the Pronto only and I ordered the dock a month ago for $80.00.

That's a real bargain deal, I might take another one for upstairs...if my wife wouldn't kill me...AH, AH..

PS. The new Pronto with color screen will come out next year, but will cost about $800.00, too much for a remote though..

Okay, I love electronic toys as much as the next guy (probably a little more). But, 300 bucks for a remote!!!?? You folks definitely have too much disposable income. I can't imagine what the systems are like that this thing controls.

NOTE: I have the older silver European version.

I hope you guys know there the new TS2000, which has more memory. I don't know the price though. Shouldn't be too bad though.

The reason why I bought this remote control was because of the great graphics and the touch screen capability... Its like a Palm Pilot but w/o the otherbullsh*t. I paid $324 /including docking station for the Silver Euro one, and It's great.. Trust me, u can load bmps into the controller, and everything.. It truly is a "pimp" toy...
