Yeah, that's what I figured. Lonetrek seems to be a total no-man's land, which I guess is why it's a good place to hunt with a Buzzard/Drake duo.

Once I fatten up my killboard a bit I might try taking out small gangs in our home region. I can't FC a big fleet effectively, but if I say that I'm heading out with a scan ship and a BC maybe I can get a few people to follow me.

I got a lesson yesterday on how potent ECM can be. I probed down a mission/plex runner with my alt, sent my main character in with a Drake and sent my alt back to the station to get his combat ship. I got the jump on whoever was running the mission (also in a Drake) and soon had him in a 2 vs. 1 fight. Everything went fine until an alt or corp mate of his showed up in a Falcon. We spent a good ten minutes circling around because he couldn't break the tank on my combat ships (Drakes with a large shield extender, two invul. fields and a magnetic scattering amplifier) and I couldn't get through his ECM. Eventually he warped off and we exchanged a gf.

Yeah, I deal with ECM's all the time when fighting. Being that we run spider tanked tengu fleets, part of our standard loadout is a meta4 ECCM. Even then, a really well skilled jammer in a falcon can still get a jam cycle in once in a while (pretty amazing feat considering a ECCM fit tengu has approx 64 points worth of sensor strength). We also employ a few falcon pilots for this very reason ourselves. In wormholes, nothing worse than a recon fleet of falcons, and rapiers.

Speaking of supercaps, the potential upcoming changes in the next expansion are what are exactly holding me back from getting an Aeon right now lol. Personally, I'd love to see Dread's get fixed, I love my Revelation but it is nothing more than a hangar queen atm.

Meh, not much of a point in an Aeon to begin with. Someone link me/explain the upcoming SC nerf(s)? I've been away from EVE for about a month now and haven't had time to read/keep up.

Sure, it doesn't have the dps of a Nyx, but it does have twice the tank of one iirc and it is the second best overall SC anyways.

Yeah, because the Hel is meh and the Wyvern is terribad. The whole point in an SC is to do dps, which is why anything other than the Nyx is kinda.. meh. Sure the Aeon is second best because at least it can tank.. but if your SC is tanking (or the enemy is primarying the Aeons) there's something wrong

This is coming from a bitter Aeon pilot btw, stupid Nyx pilots bragging about their damage. I refuse to train Gal carrier on principle!

Oh it isn't that bad. A nice perk of the Aeon is that if there is a Nyx around that will be primaried first too. I know a few Aeon pilots that had saved their asses due to that alone when shit would hit the fan suddenly.

Mmmhmm, same reason I fly Abaddons in BS fights, they don't get primaried.

I am also short of an SC (Nyx to be specific) by a couple billion (have all the officer/faction mods already) but I am holding off because SCs are no longer getting subsidies in my alliance, and I just don't really like the thought of entombing my dudes, and leaving them logged off 99% of the time.

I don't think there are any real details yet. Well, besides the fact it is definitely coming.

Also I agree with you KaOTIK (dread as hanger queen), I usually fly carriers and always dreamed of flying triage carrier as a super space priest in main fleets, but due to the problems of hot drops and potency of SCs our carriers/dreads are only ever deployed in 100% safe scenarios or cyno jammed systems.

Supercaps do need to get changed, the same with dreads. As you guys have stated, dreads are useless in null. The only place they have any use at all is in W-Space to protect your system (taking down an enemy pos that is being setup).

I have just started playing a bit more again after taking a break for the last month (just was updating training queues). Really, I am just playing enough to make the ISK to buy plex at the moment. I am probably looking for a new corp at this point since I don't think I have seen a single corp mate logged in when I have been logging in lately).

Well, the Hakim's Modified Tracking Enhancer is most of the estimated worth of the ship, and its price is way over stated. You can get one on contracts right now for less than half that price.

What's with all the sensor boosters though?

As for the sensor boosters, I have no idea. If you ask me, I think he just didn't know what to do with his mid slots....

Just bought a Bhaalgorn, though I'm not exactly sure why, besides it being a good price.

Can't really pvp in it since it is a giant target magnet, hmm, might fly it in some safer pvp situations (aka when we have a large roam lol).

Which implants are you using? I flop between my Talismans (218k ehp I think) and Slaves (only LGs, like 268k ehp I think) depending on situation, but probably use the Talismans more. I use my Bhaal most often with carrier/logi support. Such a fun ship.

SC's are pretty much used for anything now. You can shred anything a hell of a lot quicker with even just one of them. Whoever can't fly a SC brings a carrier, then the rest is support. A dread that enters siege mode better be in cyno jammed system cause otherwise it is screwed.
