Do you ever come down to Genesis? Maybe I have seen you and shot at you.

I have to say that it is a lot more fun going around in small roving gangs than any thing else in the game for me. Large gangs just lack the pressure/excitement in engagements, and playing PVE just grinds after a while.

Been running missions and salvaging. 1-2 missions a night for the past 3 weeks. Got enough for a myrmidon. Which is the ship I am planning to use until level 4 missions. Then get a domi. But not sure if I want to drop the cash on one to run level 2 missions hehe. Especially in .4 space. Somebody might think it worth their time to come out and gank me in that vs my vexor.

I wouldn't run missions in Low Sec unless it is in a ship and pod you don't mind losing. I have killed quite a few ships running missions in Low Sec, and we almost always get the pods when we do (as the pilots generally don't know how to GTFO after their ship is dead.)

There are plenty of places you can run missions in high sec space that are out of the way of major hubs. Try running missions for one of the smaller corporations. You can often get to a good L4 mission hub of theirs and not have to worry about others probing you out and stealing your salvage.

EDIT: The Myrmidon is a great L3 mission ship. It suddenly made things so much easier for me when I started using it. Here is the fit I used when I played with it:

* Use 2 Ogres, 2 Hammerheads, and 1 Hobgoblin for maximum DPS, which can be needed against the T2 Cruisers you come up against (as some have a good active tank). This setup is cap stable, and can tank any L3 Mission that I ran at least. Also switch the hardeners to whatever mission specific hardeners you need.

I run in .4 with the vexor and dont worry about it. The total ship cost might be 3 million. On a good salvage mission i can make nearly half that much. But the Myrm would be a different story hehe.

Do you select drones based on who you are fighting? I have been one the eveonline forum and people mix and match as well. I figured if a faction is weak to Kinetic. I will use drones that dish out kinetic damage. Or doesnt it really matter? Instead go for other attributes like max velocity, orbit, ect?

I decided to go with the myrm because my game play is basically send out the drones. use tractor beams and salvagers to grab the hulks. Brutix looks more like a gun boat. I want a drone boat that can tank.

What corp do you suggest? Right now I am running lvl II's for a security agent in the Caldari navy in Lituira. I was running level I's for CBO corp in Nonni. Surprisingly the area seems rather dead. The one .4 system usually only has about 6 people in it.

I've jumped back in earlier in August. I'm still trying to finish the SoE epic arc - can't seem to kill that damnable Cruiser in the "Chasing Shadows" mission. It's really good at killing my Thrasher shield tank, each hit gets me for between 160-200 damage and it's much faster than me. The only gun I have that can hit it at 15km is my single 280mm arty or my missile launcher.

The SoE epic arc is supposed to be completable by a frigate, but I don't see how.

I used a cruiser to do the Epic Arc. I would suggest doing the same if you can. Although it does become extremely easy in a cruiser. I actually never change my drones. It usually works out that Gallente drones are the highest DPS, even with different resistances since they have much higher base DPS than the other drones. I have trained for Minmatar drones to kill armor tankers, but I never bother actually switching.

I would suggest Perkone for running missions, as they have a pretty good L4 agent in High Sec. Perkone Agents
CBD Corp doesn't have anything above L2 agents, so I wouldn't waste too much time gaining status with them.

Is there is a faster track to gain standing to unlock higher level agents? Or is it just grind away on missions? My play time is limited to just a few missions per night at best.

I tend to use Explosive drones to kill angels, but otherwise Ogre II's and I have a love story that extends far back into the past.

The fastest way to gains tandings is to "run" higher level missions with freinds that help you. The best way to do that is to be in a corp that supports it.

I looked and the Caldari Business Tribunal may be better than Perkone, as they have more kill missions at L4. CBT agents.
I am also making the assumption you want to stay with the Caldari faction, as your first two corps are Caldari; but you can always go with a different faction if you want. (I use Gallente, "The Scope")

The fastest way to gain standings is to train the social skills (Social and Connections are the two you want to train up to at least L3). Then grind missions until you get a story line mission, which will increase your standings by a large margin. (The storyline missions come once every 12 regualr missions completed in a row) Once you have run 3-4 storyline missions you can usually run the next tier of missions.

I really know nothing about Minmatar, other than the Hurricane is a pretty bad-ass ship. I used a vexor to complete most of the Epic Arc, because by the time CCP fixed the bug that kept me from running the missions, that was what I was flying.

Infact you can send me an Eve-mail (I am martimus28) and I will come out there and help you with the mission if you want. I think our corp is recruiting as well, if you want to join a new corp. I don't recruit for our corp, but I have noticed that we have a bunch of new members recently. Anyway, I would have no problem helping you kill whatever opponent is giving you a hard time, and even giving you some ISK to help buy the cruiser you want (not just the one that is cheapest)

Also, you should be able to warp out when it becomes obvious you are going to pop. I am pretty sure that no ship in the Epic Arc warp scrambles you.

I'm not afraid of being scrambled so much as I just don't think the Rifter will be able to take the pounding of the cruiser's big guns long enough to get under them. I was planning on taking my dest out to pop the escorts, and then come back in my frig to take the cruiser.

I only run the caldari because my avatar is that faction. Thus I just picked up missions where she was born. It doesnt really matter to me where I run the missions and for which faction. I prefer fighting missions over courier. Ill check out that site and may make a move to Gallente space. Thanks on the skill info.

Right now I have L4 standings with the Federation Navy and The Scope, but I am thinking about getting standings with the Ministry of Internal Order to run missions in my home space, and Roden Shipyards and Creodron for research.
