As a reminder, my corp is open for new members and we take newer players. We live in low sec and are part of a PvP Alliance. We have several members from Anandtech already. Pretty low pressure and fun corp to fly with.

You can discuss here or via private message of you are interested.

Michael

I am a member of his corp, and I can say I have a lot of fun with it.

I FCed a small gang yesterday (12 BC's/HAC's) and had a little trouble coming up with targets. I found a neutral harbinger, and we engaged him. even though we had 6 points on him he managed to warp off when he was half into armor. We later found out he was with a blue gang, and we joined forces to roam, and we asked him how he got away. He didn't know, and since this is not the first time this has happened since the new expansion it seems that warp disruptors are bugged right now.

Anyway, during that roam, we found a little gang of a Cerb, Ishtar and Brutix. They landed on the gate where we were on the other side, and I tried to push them through. The Cerb waited until he was into armor before he jumped, and got ganked on the other side, but the server failed right after and the other two ships got away. This is the 2nd time during an op that the server failed right in the middle. This is starting to get annoying.

Heh EVE is fun for griefers to We hot dropped 2 battleships with 3 carriers yesterday

Sometimes I think scamming is the best way to make money. A buddy of mine made about 400 mil yesterday in about 2 hours just sitting in a populated system spamming "I'm quitting EVE and have 60 bil ISK to give away, send me any amount over 1 mil but under 1 bil and I'll send you triple in return!"

Aye it is depressing how many people go for all those scams :/

It is frustrating when you have someone who declares war on you, but you can't fight them because they spend 100% of their time in High-sec. They only want to grief carebears it seems. Oh well, if they want to fight they know where to find us.

Not necessarily. I've been making 150 mil every 30 minutes mining gas. All I have to do is click on a cloud and mine away. Don't even need to pay attention

I feel your pain. I'm in FW atm, and there is a corp within our faction who is griefing fellow faction members so a few of the more "elite" corps in our faction (my corp included) decided to dec them. So what happens? They either stay in small fast shit in low sec and never engage, or they simply stay in high sec with sensor boosted inties and pick off our mission runners. Worst part? Since they're in our militia, they don't show up on our "targets" overview - you essentially need to spot their bracket in space. I HATE wardecs like this.

A quick question about medium drones. What are they good against? Usually, I send in light drones to help killed smaller ships. Would it better for me to load up different set of light drones when mission? Another question, is there some way to remind you to recall the drones? I lost so many because of warp out and forgot to call them in. In a few days I could control tech II version, but unlikely because of my forgetfulness.

http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Drones

I usually put Warriors on Cruiser down, and Hammerheads on BC up. Though sometimes I put Hammers on Cruisers, it really depends. Occasionally I use Valks/Hobs, but mostly I'll stick with Warriors/Hammers. I don't really use ECM drones. There's no way to remind yourself to recall drones other than to see them in space. I keep my drone bay box open and drones in space expanded so I can watch their shields/armor/hull while in combat so usually I'll notice they're out. I also have keys bound to engage/recall so I've gotten pretty used to hitting my recall key before warping.

I picked the wrong time to react my account. Martimus, would you guys hate me if I quit DipDi? I had been thinking about it for a while already and this might be the proverbial straw.

Raduque, I wouldn't mind. You could always join 3MI, which is where my alt is since it is blue to our alliance. The war is almost over anyway, so it may not even matter, plus you can run missions in low sec if you want.

I usually use Hobs or Warriors on Destroyers and Frigates, and Ogres on Cruisers and above. Medium drones are designed to engage medium sized ships (read Cruisers/Battlecrusiers), but I find that Ogres work better in PvE situations at least against this type. I only use Hammerheads on ships that can't fit a full set of Ogres to increase DPS over light drones.

If only I could fill my Abaddon with Ogres for missioning.

So, it looks like GTC's are broken eh? That's great. I was just about to head to the forums and buy some.

Well, it's not JUST the war - I don't feel like a PvP corp is right for me at this point. I have no PvP skills. I can't tackle or defend from tackling, I can't run neuts or RRs. I also can't afford to PvP, either. If I lose a BS on a roam, that's the only BS I have. I need to train and build a financial base before I can start PvPing.

You could fit a t1 tackler with.... 1d 3h 54m of training, or less? And the thing would cost, what, 600k?

I'll take you on some roams with me, so you can get experience.

Try this fit for a PvP Cyclone: http://www.nawti.net/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=23206
I'll buy it for you if you want. (You are minmatar specced right? I forget now, since I haven't gone missioning with you in highsec since I became a perma-outlaw.)

I have managed to make more as an outlaw that I ever did Missioning in Highsec. I now probe out 6/10 plexes, and run them with 2 friends. It usually nets ~100-150M ISK each (depending on the drops). So one plex is enough to buy a new fully fitted PvP Domi. You are more than welcome to run one with me.

Outta curiosity, what setup are the three of you running in those 6's?

Merry Eve-mas, folks!

Hope you didn't get your Zephyr popped already :awe:

Edit: Martimus, the fit looks good but I'm not trained to use MWD or points

Edit2: I'm skilling up MWD and Scrams to 3 each, then i'm going to train Electronics to 5. That way, I don't need the CPU Enhancer that was on that fit you linked.I'm not sure what I'm gonna put in the open low slot now though. Can't stack DCIIs... maybe a tracking enhancer...

Two Domi's with Sentry Drones, and an Abbadon. Really any setup with around 900DPS at 70km would work fine for the Crimsom Hand plex. With this setup we usually run it in around 45 minutes.

They have to be stupid since attacking fellow fw members will get themselves kicked out of fw soon enough.

Sounds like you needed Eve University to get rid of that mindset.

There are loopholes that will keep them in FW.

If they have an active wardec there is no security rating hit for popping fellow militia members they're at war with. Gate guns don't aggro, and fellow militiamen can't help without taking a sec/faction hit and gate gun aggro. That's why I recommend joining the NPC corps if you're FWing -- less fucktard annoyance to deal with.

I'm once again doing the Amarr FW thing and remembering why I hate it so. It's sheer agony getting a decent fight.

Oh, Rad: you forget insurance. After insurance battleships are cheaper than free if you don't rig them. The difference between their price and platinum insurance payout can cover fittings so long as you don't go too crazy and fit a few T1 pieces. For example, the abaddon is 180M payout, 54M insurance cost IIRC. You can find them for 124M or less around empire. Which means 2M net income for every one you lose. The same goes to a lesser extent for almost all other T1 ships.

I bought a stack of over 100 abaddons a few days ago. Took me about 6 hours to gank my own alts flying them (damn that built-in 25% resist bonus) but now my epeen is HUGE.
