hey guys. So I'm getting ready for my remap into ship missile gunnery skills. I'm wondering if I am missing anything show stopping.

http://eveboard.com/pilot/filterdecay

I plan on training up
shield and armor comp skills up to 4
thermodynamics up to 4
energy pulse weapons to 4
nanite skills to 4 (both of them I forget their names)
acceleration control to 4
propulsion jamming to 4
I'm taking shield compensation to 4 and then 5 now

I was thinking about leaving energy grid upgrades at 4 Do you think its worth taking it to 5 now?

After I max my per/will I am going to max my missile skills and battlecruiser and then max battleship caldari then cross train into minmatar/guns

I'm building up a alt now for trade and freight and covops on a second account. Hes still a month away from cooking his learning skills.

so anybody have any suggestions or is my skill plan pretty solid?

If you don't mind my asking, how exactly do you make money with a POS? That's a topic I know nothing about.

After you get your missile skills up I'd hold off on cross training, and instead get your engineering, power management, etc skills up to level 5. A few percent here or there can make a huge difference when you can just barely fit an extra module.

Also, depending on what you're doing with your character I might hold off on battleship missile skills. In my experience missile battleships are really only good for missioning. For fleet battles you'll want to use some kind of guns, and battlecruisers are a much better choice at this point for small-gang PvP. I've been on and off in EVE for several years, but only got serious about PvP in low-sec quite recently. The Drake is an awesome ship for that, and I'm getting much more use out of my heavy & heavy assault missile skills than my cruise missile skills. Having the option of running level 4s if I need easy, safe money is nice, but I doubt I'll ever do it again.

I am no expert, as this is my first POS. The way I am making ISK is by running a simple reaction. The way you do this, is to anchor a POS, and anchor a Simple Reaction Array, then add moon minerals to the reaction, and you output a new mineral that is worth more than the two you inputted. I am actually mining one of those minerals with my POS, which cuts down costs considerably (and also the only way to make it profitable for the reaction I am running).

My plan is to anchor a second POS in a month or so, and run a pair of complex reactions. I am waiting that long, because the upfront costs are very high, and I want to get the hang of the POS reaction mechanics before I dive further into it.

I think I have most engineering skills to 5 that matter no? Only energy grid upgrades is still at 4. Am I missing one?

It looks like you have all the basic skills you need already.

If you are cross training for Gallente, I would suggest training Drone Interfacing to 4, and Sentry Drone interfacing to 4 as well, so you can use Sentry Drones, and gain the extra 20% damage from your drones.

I really don't know much about the other races needs for skills, which is the reason I didn't reply earlier.

I would train Drone Interfacing to level 4 no matter what race you're doing. That 20% damage boost per level is huge!

Yeah I plan on working the drone skills as well after I remap as they train faster yet per/will.

After a frustrating evening spent trying to find plexes with my probe-equipped Drake I finally bit the bullet and bought a dedicated covert ops ship for low-sec. Sometime in the next few days I'll take it out for a spin.

What was so frustrating? Was it the fact that you needed to cloak? Or was it just taking you a while to scan/probe the system? You really need to get some specific skills to make your life easier for probing, specifically, astrometrics 4, astrometric pinpointing, astrometric rangefinding, and astrometric acquisition. Really the biggest one is the astrometric acquisition, as it gives a decent bonus on signal strength of the probe. Really, they are all pretty easy to get to lvl 3, and if you are going to scan things down, it is probably the way to go as it will save you a few hours of headache.

I just spent a lot of time probing down wormholes, crappy sites, etc when I was looking for at least 4/10 plexes. Not that big a deal, but it would've been much faster if I'd gone out in a specialized scan ship, making bookmarks and then coming back in my Drake.

Yeah, that is the way I do it. I usually will leave my specialized probing ship at the site (cloaked at warp in) while I run it with my main as well. This way, when I get probed out, I will see the tackling ship warp to the gate in time to warp out with my main.

Good idea about leaving your other ship @ the gate, although that would require me to pony up for an alt.

Anyone know of a place i can sell off my account?

Gametag gave me an offer but is taking too long to process.

I'm done with the game and want to recoup some of my lost monthly fees.

So did you find a place? All I've done since February is log in to switch skill training. Got about 70M SP per account x 3 accounts with anywhere between 20 and 50B in assets. Just slowly leaking 1B/month to keep training them; but if I can eject from this shit game and get something for it I'd be all over it.

It is against your user agreement to sell a character for anything other than in-game isk via the approved transfer method.

So, what do you think of the guy I killed to get to kill #500. Kind of funny who it ended up being. I wish it was Woei though, as I never had any real problems with Xvisha.

I really need to train into battleships now... I was trying to wait for more of the support skills to train up and re-map perception/willpower, but I just don't do enough damage in missions. I guess I should finish up some of the drones skills and then remap (need the drones to be able to handle the frigates).

What level missions? 3's or 4's?

I had much more luck scanning down plexes with my covert ops ship last night. I ran into one that I couldn't handle, ended up warping out of there with my Drake down to structure. Oh well, learned a lesson and next time I should be able to handle it better. Plexes will probably get boring pretty quickly, but for now they're something new and a good way to make money. I kind of want to buy myself a Nighthawk...

After a long day of real-life Board meetings and then a business dinner, I came home and logged onto Eve. My real intent was just to click my planets and then sleep. I fired up vent to say hello to my friends, winced as our KB said that one of the new players in my corp had just lost a Hulk because he was mining in High Sec during a war, when a voice on vent said "there appears to be a neutral gang in Imya". I closed my planet screen and started advertising our fleet in our intel channel.

A minute or so later, we had 4-6 guys that confirmed that they were ready and aligned to gate. We sent in a bait ship to the gate and they jumped in their bait drake and our Typhoon engaged. They all warped to gate and jumped to kill the typhoon and instead they found our gang all there and waiting:

After the whitewash, convoed the mega pilot to give him some fitting advice. If you look at the fit, you can see he really needed it.

i heard were at war? right in the middle of my vacation =[

Yeah. I keep my alt out of the alliance for exactly this reason. We do 10B-15B ISK of damage a week in our area, and that tends to ruffle a few feathers on occasion.

The other thing is that there are plenty of corps that will war-dec large alliances to kill their faction fitted care-bears in high-sec or haulers in trade hubs. This often happens after we have a few wins in the alliance tournament, or we have a big fight against another large alliance and win and word gets around. Most of our members have neutral alts to take care of high-sec stuff for this reason.

Seeing as the war dec is a mercinary corp, it seems like the first one. They won't enter low-sec, so you shouldn't worry about them there. If they do, they will get slaughtered; and they likely know that. Just dock up when you see one in local in high-sec and you are running a mission, and stay away from major trade/mission hubs in high sec. We have lots of Amarr L4 agents in our chain, and even a L5 agent if you feel the need to mission.

Also, if you need anything from a trade hub, just ask in Alliance chat, and someone is usually in a trade hub with a freighter ready to pick stuff up.
