Try 1 800 915 3555 press option 1 , then ext. 43784 (it should be in your confirmation email). Good luck getting through They open at 11am CST, but they take calls a bit earlier, so I suggest trying then to avoid long hold times

I called again and talked to a guy who was 500000000000000000000000000000000000000x more helpful than whatshername earlier.

He told me the following:

1.They are in stock, but since the Holiday they've been extremely backed up.
2. If your ETA says shipped by 12/28, then it's very likely it WILL go out on next day FedEx if that's what you chose. If you don't receive it by Monday, call back and explain what happened.
3. Because they are so backed up, it will not reflect on your CC because the people in billing will still see "Order Delayed" or whatever that stupid order status thing says.

Well I feel somewhat better about my order, though I' wont be satisfied until those z560s are shaking my walls and annoying my sister.

murphy55d, do you really believe what you were told? Do you really think they are in stock right now? Think about it, some people get their order shipped next day. And then for more than three days not a single order has been shipped. Can such a thing happen because the orders are backed up? If it is true that they need more time to take care of the large amount of orders at least some of us should have received their order during last three days. I'd rather believe what is shown in order status - they are not availabed right now.

i can just see it, some dell exec see's that people are getting these "packages" at cost. plus, everyone is getting free next day shipping. so the exec has all the orders put on "hold" for a couple weeks. that way most call up and cancel cause they don't want to wait. dell cuts their losses. exec gets a bonus. we get screwed. moral of the story: don't cancel your orders.

for those who are daring, try cancelling your order. i cancelled mine, and they shipped it out that day. it's on its way right now. i'm going to refuse it, of course, as i've ordered it from Newegg. real moral of the story: dell's business practices have gone down the toilet.

Same thing here. Supposed to ship yesterday, checked this morning and it's been pushed to shipping on the 7th. Tried to cancel, and after "Kelly" took all my personal info, she transfers me to someone that can actually cancel the order, "she can't do that." Phone rings, and wherever she transferred me to is only Monday-Friday, umptysquat to umptysquat. Aaaaargh! I'll give them til noon Monday and if I don't have my speakers, I will call back and cancel and order from Newegg or TheNerds.net.

although I can understand why everyone is getting pissed at dell, I think dell has a side to this too. I mean, they may sound like they are just completely stupid, but what is some executive really put a hold on all of those orders, and the CSR's don't understand it anymore than you do? I don't think it's fair to them to get angry.

I mean, we are getting this set for $45 under what they are asking (which is already under retail, MSRP on the 560's is $199.99) with free $100 shipping!
