No way in HELL that I am canceling...just to let Dell win...BAH!!I don't need speakers...I already have some.

Besides, it is fairly obvious that they reduced their stock as much as possible before the end of the year...since
they have to do inventory and pay taxes on the merchandise they have on hand.

for those who don't want the joystick, i went to bestbuy, costa mesa today and the manager gave me $30 store credit for the joystick. At first the bestbuy employee won't do it, but I talked to the customer service manager and he gave me $30 credit.

I placed my order on Dec. 23 and my first "scheduled shipping date" was the 28th, which got pushed back to the 7th. I'd called Dell four times before and they didn't have anything intelligent to say, but I called them tonight and may have gotten one of the smarter monkeys. He actually seemed to have some information that might prove useful. He said that my order has been sent to "manufacturing" and would ship out either tomorrow or the next day. He claimed that they had the components to complete 81 of the orders and mine was one of the 81. Where he got this number, I know not. 81 seems like a very odd (and small) number for an order of joysticks (if that's truly all they were missing). Maybe they found some somewhere??? Who knows. Just wanted to give everyone the latest I'd heard. Maybe some of you others who placed an order on the 23rd or 24th should call and see if you get the same story.

No offense but I heard that story before. One of the monkies I spoke to (refer to my earlier post in this thread) told me mine should have shipped out the following Monday after I called.

I think they have cards they give all the phone-chimps, when they get in a bind, read this.

Really though, I hope you get your speakers.

Yeah, I'm giving them until tomorrow to ship. If they don't I'll be canceling and ordering from newegg. A two week delay is just ridiculous for something that should have been delivered to me the day after I ordered. I don't much feel like contributing to their economic growth now.

Hmmm...I placed my order on Saturday, but have yet to recieve an e-mail confirmation. Credit card hasn't been charged either. E-mails to Dell go unanswered, and the product still shows up on their website. Interesting...

do yourselves a favor and cancel. i did earlier today, ordered from newegg and its at step 4 already and will be shipped tomorrow. now THAT is service. id rather pay about the same and not get the joystick that i didnt really need and those 2 for $15 headphones.. if it meant avoiding all this stress dell has thrown my way the past two weeks.

i ordered 2 things from dell, the 880s and this, and theyve both been just horrible experiences. will never order from them again!

I ordered a couple days ago, and two days ago they called to confirm my billing address. I told them they'd better not charge my card until they send the product, and they said they never charge until they send.

For those of you that got charged before the product was sent, I'd call them and RAISE HELL! I believe this is illegal practice from reading stuff in the past about ecommerce. The product MUST be sent on the exact date you're charged!

Although Dell has delayed the order I would guess they are going to ship before the 28th of January, probably at least a week before then. When I ordered my Samsung 955DF way back when they were having their monitor deals their web site actually said that my order had not shipped, but then it just arrived about two weeks after I ordered it even though they were supposedly out of stock. After another week my order was shown as shipped.

My roommate ordered the Logitech Z560's the first time they ran the deal and even though his order was delayed several weeks he actually received it a week after ordering. So hopefully some of you stay on and don't cancel your orders because there is always a chance that dell could send the stuff out without them even knowing.

I called to cancel my order last week and it shipped today. I ordered on 12/26/01. Cancelling with Dell only seems to expedite my order...

I called again today and was told I would receive them in 5-7 days (he gave some b.s. reason that I can't really recall). I was going to cancell and order from newegg, but it seems that newegg is now out of stock. I decided I could wait another week, so I just checked my order status and it now says that two packages have been shipped. I checked the tracking numbers, but evidently FedEx doesn't have it in their computer systems yet. Damn I hope I really do get these tomorrow. 'Twould be very sweet indeed.

I selected overnight when I ordered. It gave me a FedEx ship number rather than a UPS one, so I think it is overnight. FedEx doesn't seem to have my order in their system either.

wait awhile for that number to work at Fedex. They will send you a tracking number that is good for your package, but until Fedex has actually received your package the number is not valid.

Woohoo.........got 2 tracking numbers today as well. Also my order for two 81 cents Belkin NIC has just been shipped, almost forgot this one.

I won't worry much about not getting any info from FedEx................they are slow on updating, especially for Overnight delivery.

Be patient everyone who wants to get this. It will come.

There's a delay between when an order is shipped and when it actually shows up in FedEx's computer system. It can sometimes be a half a day or so, at least in my experience.

I received mine today (from Newegg, not Dell), and of course I received an email from Dell today stating that my order had been shipped, SIX days after I called and cancelled. Oh well, guess they will lose out on shipping both ways when it gets here and I refuse it.

my speakers came in today!!! but there is no joystick or headphones.. i called and they said that they were not getting these and if i didnt want the speakers, to send them back!! what the hell???? what should i do guys... i love the speaks though!
