finnally put to drive into my computer, use the EZ-BIOS option to format and transfer all my files from the 30G WD 7200rpm hard drive. Plan to replace it and possible use the 30G in another machine.

Boot it up and WHAT IS THAT SOUND? my 30G WD is slience and not hot. But this one is about the same temp. but way louder than the WD when read/write. Is it because of the additional 50G or just maxtor make louder HD?

Mine is going through too and I also did not send a UPC. My status is something else ahead of processing rebate. I forgot what it said and I'm too lazy to look it up. I spoke to a CSR and she said it was already approved, they just need to mail the check out.

Well I guess I must be the MAN. I got home today and found a nice Staples/Hauppage $40.00 rebate in the mailbox.

Of course I'm kinda a moron for losing the upc with 10 minutes of cutting it off the box.

Staples rebate is very fast and reliable but B&M Staples manager is another story.
