I got my switch about 4 days after the NICs and hard drive.

Anyone know if theres a remote chance for staples to honor this rebate if I don't have the upc code? I cut it off the box yesterday and now I cannot find it. I have everything else, of course. Guess I'll call them later and see if they can make an exception.

I just got home from work and called staples rebate center and the lady said that it wouldn't be a problem. She said just to call the local store and get them to read off the upc code and just write it down on the rebate form.
Of course I'm going to do it but I certainly will not hold my breath on this one.
just thought I'd let everyone know in case they are stupid like me and lose the upc code!!!

Scored another Fluid Bearing drive today. I took a printable $30 off $150 with me to the store and while there was looking at some other mechandise. It was near closing time and I went up to pay and got my receipts and left. On the way home I was thinking the price sounded strange and then it hit me that I had not taken anything else up to get my total to $150, yet I got the $30 off. Now to fill in the rebate form....

I was in store today getting the drive and using a $30 off 150 too. After checking out I noticed that my merchandise total was only $149.95, and I thought it was odd that it allowed the coupon... usually you have to go over 150 exactly with these coupons, at least when I've used them online. Hmm, I had a hard time finding $10 worth of stuff that I needed too.

I filled the form out online then clicked through to the "I am a cheapskate and I don't have a printer" option. It says to include in your letter a few things copied down from that page and then the receipt. It does not say anything about the UPC so I did not send it. I even checked the small print and I didn't think it asked for it anywhere there.

1) which of the two UPC's do i need?

2) When it says sales reciept what do they mean? Is that the paper that comes in the box saying "This is not an invoice" on it? Or is it the confirmation page you print out?

3)"register online or complete claim coupon" --- By this they just mean to fill out the rebate form dont they? Or is there something else i need?

1) The UPC on the white sticker

2) Usually Staples accepts the packing slip as the proof of purchase. If you wanna play it safe, send both the packing slip and your comfirmation email.

3) By filling up the rebate form and register online, you still have to send them the UPC and proof of purchase.

Just got back from my local Staples. When i went to the shell all they had was a 80gb Maxtor 5200 rpm drive and the Netgear nic cards. Called over a worker and had him check if they had some in stock. Wouldnt you know it, they had 5 netgear switches in the back along with one Maxtor drive with L6L4 under the upc.

Payed $220-$40= $190 w/tax Now ill send in the combined $100 in rebates and end up paying $90!! Im happy.

One more thing. How is this switch? I needed it to hook up my downstairs cable modem to the computer i brought back from school which is in my room. Is it possible to buy a cable that i could run outside along the siding into my room?

( sweeeet! ) Also picked up a new chairmat for $15 that put me over the $150 limit so I could use the coupon. $135 after coupon & tax for the Drive and Chairmat, with the $40 rebate on the way!
