Saw Die Hard at a matinee, 3/4 of the way through the tape jitters and breaks. They have to resplice it - which takes 10 minutes. They give everyone a free ticket. So my family and I wait till Die Hard was over (they got it running), went and had dinner real fast, and then saw transformers for free. . .

Incredibly, something went wrong during transformers, and it took them like 10 minutes to fix it again! They again offered everyone a free ticket. Finished watching transformers and saw 1408

I NEVER get this lucky. . .

BTW all three are cool movies!

Sounds like a pretty good offer. I liked Transformers. Haven't seen the new Die Hard yet. Also looking forward to Harry Potter.

How was 1408? I've never heard of it.

1408 was actually my favorite. A horror movie about an evil freaking room John Cusak played in it and did really well.

I wasn't impressed with 1408. It wasn't anywhere near as scary as I was hoping it would be. To me the best part of the movie was the ending. A lot of movies as of late have had really crappy endings and this one was decent IMO.

Which is somewhat ironic, because if there's one thing Stephen King can screw up, it's an ending.

I went and caught Transformers in DLP this afternoon. Not bad, not bad at all. Started strong, then got a bit cheesy. But hey, it's a movie based on toys and cartoons form the 80s. Of course it's gonna be cheesy!

Yes, it's descended from the JSF project it's also known as the Lightning II. Having not seen the movie I can't comment as to how tight of a turn those jets were pulling compared to real life and say whether or not its possible. However it is possible for jets to pull some pretty tight turns. How tight depends partially on the jet and partially on how many Gs the pilot can take before blacking out.

The jet in the movie was flying more like a chopper. Stopping and turning in midair kinda stuff. I know it's an extremely agile jet and some versions are VTOL capable, but this is just rediculous.

Ok, sorry! Speaking of cheesy!!

OP - I've never been so lucky. I don't know if I can stand to watch 3 movies in one day tho.

I can't believe you and your family sat through 6+ hours of movies in one night. Holy Crap!

1408 was rubbish. But I liked transformers, despite the comically bad dialogue. If it were me, I'd call it a wash since the second free movie sucked.

1408 isn't really a horror movie. It's more of a psychological thriller where you have no clue what's really going on (until the end).

Very lucky man!

I saw Die Hard and really liked it. Was way better than the last one.

Haven't seen Transformers yet but my husband REALLY wants to go see it. Guess we'll be going this week.

Was waiting to see reviews of 1408 to decide on whether or not to see it. I guess I'll put it on my netflix queue.

Can't wait for Harry Potter!
