Ever been in a physical fight in a dream?

Ok I have been thinking about this lately. Whenever I am in a dream and I get into a fight where I need to throw a punch its like my arms turn to rubber. Like I can't hit the person in the dream. Anyone else have this? I talked to a couple of my friends about it and they said it happens to them too.

I was kind of thinking that maybe since your brain is creating the person you are fighting in the dream they are a part of you. And your brain doesn't allow you to hurt yourself.

alot of the time i cannot hit them. Sometimes I wont let the dream continue until I hit them.

Yea. I get really rubbery arms. I fought an old lady once and my arms felt like 1 ton each. I could only whack her with my hands, not punch.

You might actually be out of a dream state, and instead in what's called dream paralysis.

Yea but I've progressed.

The more I've worked out and boxed etc. I guess the more unconscious confidence I attained.

Because over a course of the last year, I've been not only winning, but savaging people in my dreams.

I won a fight against two people, I chased someone into a bar and tenderized his whole frame with a table leg, I've got 2 K.O's and I've even killed two people! (One was a girl :/ But I was scared for my life)

Literati / Dreaming is like going out everynight when I go to sleep and getting into the craziest sh!t.

Well in my dream I do Matrix as well as being able to mentally "control" the enviornment and situation
XD more fun than video games

I always dream that I can hit them but for some reason there's never any force behind my blows.... and so they're absolutely ineffective and it's always frustrating. Same thing with guns in dreams... I keep pulling the trigger and the gun only fires like 1/50 trigger pulls.

As for flying I never fly like say a... bird, but I moreso float. It's tough to control, really tough, and it usually ends in my flying waaaaaaay to high uncontrollably and virtually sh!tting my pants right before I wake up hah!

Seriously though, that scares me.

I heard once that when you realize you're in a dream, and you're about to wake up, to start spinning in the dream and it will prevent you from waking up during it due to excitement or whatever. Anyways, I did it, it it actually worked like a charm.

Not only do you remain asleep, my settings changed, I went from a police parking lot to a warehouse. You also don't get dizzy regardless of how fast or long you spin.

Anywyays, it worked, after about the 5th time "maintaining" the lucid dream, it got kinda crazy and I woke up.

I had a dream today about being angry for some reason. I woke up kicking my AC really hard... it hurt my feet real bad too :| :| :|

This is absolutely identical to my dreams of this type. I thought I was the only one.

I have dreams like that. I also dream about flying off the road in cars and trying to type numbers into keypads or phones and not being able to get them right.

It's weird.

When I was younger I used to dream I couldn't run/throw punches. Lately I havn't had any dreams like that.

man how strange is this?! i have never heard anyone else talk about this problem, but it plagues me as well in my dreams! it sucks so bad...i can never win any fights because i either cant hit them or just cant hurt them, no matter the opponent.
