Ever considered pre-arranged marriages ??

I don't considered myself desperate.
For Asians in particular, arranged marriages work quite well.

I'm a store manager at a restaurant, I CAN'T work less.
I can always demote myself but I got to this position so it'd be stupid for me to go backward.

u and I think almost think exactly the same! Although I have an opportunity to meet a girl coming up (see my YAGT thread), i do have trouble meeting girls also.

Man, you're a restaurant manager, then there are plenty of women at your age who would look into you. The thing is you need to approach them.
Again, you need to make time available. No wife would want a husband so busy with work and have no time for them.

CTrain sorry to say it but you are lazy when it comes to women, the pre-arranged thing is a cop-out. You choose to work as much as you do, you choose to not meet chicks when you're not working.

I do agree with your assessment.
Finding a wife without going through the usual dating ritual is an easy way out.
Been through it before and how many more do I need to go through to find someone thats right for me ??
This is a PIC(left:lil sis) of myself. I shouldn't have a problem finding a mate by myself but this way sure is alot easier.

i'm not so sure about prearanged marriages. in some places its more or less a strong suggestion to date x person. many times it works out, go figure. not as if the western way works that well. 50%? might as well choose randomly at that rate eh?

this is similar to the situation I am in. I met the girl at school, and we both had crushes on each other, but were both too shy to act on it. Well we both had the same friends, and we both spilled our guts to the friends. Friends work some magic, parents get involved, church approves, and now, only speaking via aol, have become best friends and won't see each other until I pull up the veil.......

My mom knows alot of peole back home and she can pretty much find me someone that I'll find incredibly attractive.
I'm a decent looking guy with a stable career so I can pretty much pick who ever I want.

The biggest PLUS about the situation is that I'll be able to have that sweet, wholesome wife that most guys are looking for.
The NEGATIVE is the time it'll take for us to know each other and my native language is not strong.

Anyone else ever thought about going this route ????

My mom has threatened to set me up with a Korean if I don't marry by 30. My cousin actually did this, I don't know why, being a West Point grad/Duke MBA and good-looking guy. But apparently it's worked out OK for him (then again his wife's green card is still pending, who knows what she'll do when it arrives). I don't think I could marry a FOB because my Korean is limited to a few choice phrases. Plus I want my wife to be my friend and not just a trophy. Marry for love. Don't be so concerned about not being able to find the right one. You'll find her when the time's right. I think its much better to rely on your heart then on an arrangement.

The problem is that I'm going to be 33 soon.
In the enviroment I've chosen for myself through the years, I just don't feel like I'm going to find the RIGHT ONE anyone time soon.
And even if I did, she'll probably be in the 30s, and women over 30 having their first kid is asking for trouble.
Beside,(not referring to all Asian women) most Asian women I've met whos been here for a while are Americanized and all they want is to find an American guy anyhow.

I know its the easy way out but I'm pretty damm lazy these days.
