Ever have the dream you skipped a semester of class and/or miss the final?

Basically there are some variations on the dream...

- You skipped an entire semester and are really far behind
- You missed all the course work and are about to fail
- You sleep in and/or miss an exam and fail
- Perhaps you forgot to study in entirety
- You get a test and you don't recognize the material on it
- The professor from hell that you hated is administering the test
etc.

A lot of my friends seem to have dreams like this. Most of my friends are in final year at college or recently graduated. However, I've heard people talk about having it 5, sometimes 10 years after college

It seems reasonable to have it happen this frequently--college takes up a large part of your life for 4 years that it is something your mind is on a lot of the time.

You ever experience similar?

That still happens to me a couple of times a year. LOL

One of the ones I have is that I've blown off my classes for an entire semester and then I have to go to take my finals but I don't know where the classes are because I never went. hahaha

Yes. I'm a couple years out and I still get them occasionally. Most of my relevant dreams are either:

(1) I forgot there was a recitaton class and never went. Thus, I missed every quiz and I found out about it just before the final, with no chance for a good grade.

or

(2) I show up for the final, realizing that I missed the entire class, I haven't seen the material in years, and I'm scrambling to look through the book as the other people sit down comfortably for the test.

I haven't been in school for 8 or so years, and just the other night I was dreaming I had missed the class for the entire term and thus wasn't prepared for my final. I can only assume it's in my DNA at this point since its finals season and the nightmares are back.

yes, and I graduated from College 3 years ago. I still wake up every once in a while relieved that I didn't really skip the whole semester and just slept through the final.

Yea, I've dream't that I slept in late and missed the final. I wake up scared to death only to realize it was just a dream.

i used to have that dream all the time.

this was a frequent one : i'd dream that i took a class that i knew i didnt have to go to the lectures just the exams, and i'd wake up during finals week totally forgetting about the class

I STILL have these dreams and I've been done with school since 96!

They're actually really unpleasant.

I had the one where you enrolled in a class, but you forgot you enrolled in it and missed out the whole semester and ended up with an F.

I have bad reoccurring dreams like that throughout the semester. It is very very annoying because the frequency is just about every other night. Either I skipped the whole semester and just remember it the day before the final and freak out, or I forget where the final is being held, and wonder around campus forever looking for the class until time runs out.

Well, I didn't really dream of it, I but there was one semester where I went to class 6 times (excluding exams). .

That was not 6 times for one class, that was 6 times FOR ALL CLASSES COMBINED, and I was taking 16 credit hours.

I ended up with a 2.9 for the semester so that actually worked out not so bad. Had I actually worked hard I would have probably gotten a 3.5.

2.9 + no work >>>>>>> 3.5 + lots of work.

I have the same excat dreams man (maybe once or twice a year)...Scares the sh!t out of me everytime.

Happened to me the other day. In my dream I thought it was Sunday night and I hadn't had a chance to study for any of my finals the following day.

I was so relieved when I realized that it was only Friday night.

I still have this dream a few times a year, even though I've been out of college for three years. I never was in danger of missing an exam so I don't know why.

I graduated in 1991 and I still sometimes have those dreams. I actually DID miss a final exam (wrote the wrong time down in my planner) and went to the prof a couple hours after it finished. He let me take the final with a TA monitoring me because I started crying.

I had that dream last thursday night. And then I went ahead and did my 2 finals on friday. And then I got an email of where the grades were posted for the final I didn't take on friday. doh. It's alright, though, I was already planning on retaking the class next semester anyway.
