On Valentines Day, me and my gf went for sushi. There was a lesbian couple, talking about coming out, and why they liked being gay, better than being straight (sexual things). I thought it was very innapropriate dinner conversation, as I would certainly not go on about banging some hot chick I banged and how stimulated she was and so forth, especially at a fine resturaunt.

i couldn't care less what other people do or don't do in their bedroom.

there are loud and annoying people in every race, gender, sexual orientation.

Anyhow, "normal" gay people are indistinguishable from any other people, so there was apparently something in their behavior that made them stand out. See my reference to heterosexual couples above.

Honestly, I have difficulty understanding how people can react so strongly to elements in their environment that really have no direct impact on them. No matter what your feeling about other lifestyles, etc. the presence of them in public proximity shouldn't cause you any significant discomfort. And this is coming from a confirmed Christian conservative. You can have opinions without being a bigot, but I think you may have crossed that line.

Mostly you know they are gay when they say something innocuous like "I'll be right back baby, just going to the bathroom." I was thinking of couples (often high school age) that will obnoxiously spend their time sloppily making out in public - that does have a *little* to do with sexuality.

Point taken on the second, but didn't occur to me since I'm usually too involved in the conversation from my own group to be listening to the group at the next table.
