Ever wonder what became of "the" bully from your childhood?

the bullies from childhood are all dead, gunfights with the cops. previous bullies from the corporate world are on heart medication and some have lots their jobs with no hope of getting a new one. but a couple bullies from my past are doing just fine, from what i can tell.

Didn't really have one. I wasn't really bullied much. Not being a typical ATOTer saying I was the quarterback pretty boy nailing the cheerleaders or anything, I was definitely the smart nerdy kid. But, I was never fat, or funny looking, or that awkward, so they pretty much left me alone, there was always someone worse to pick on. Plus I was pretty likeable


I just got a lot of "ugh, you're too smart" whenever I said stuff, or turned in a math worksheet after 5 minutes

I ended up friends my bully from kindergarten my about around middle school. He had sort of a messed up family...in retrospect I think he just didn't know how to relate well to other people at that age. I remember the situation messed me up though...that was the only time in my life I ever recall being mean to animals. I honestly didn't piece together the cause and effect on this until I was in my 20s. I was so young it all seemed a little blurry.

I had some pretty bad ones in middle school, kids way older than me. I honestly don't even really remember what they look like anymore.

There was some doucher in high school too, but that wasn't really much of anything. I don't really know what happened too him, except he's not dead and still lives around here.

A lot of you guys have some crazy karma closure stories here...dead or in prison. I remember my mom telling about some prick she went to high school with that insulted everyone all the time. I guess he moved down to Florida and insulted some one in a bar so they stabbed him and he died.

He died of lieukemia sp? I was still at school though when that happened so not really news.

didn't really have any when i was young, was one dude in HS the randomly decided he was gonna bully me, i simply ignored him for months till 1 day he did something and i snapped and just beat the living shit out of him in art class. He got suspended for 2 weeks i got suspended for 1 day even tho i tossed the first punch. literally teachers wanted to high 5 me. everyone hated him


he ODed on heroin a few years back. his friends just left him in the emergency room turn around, he might be dead now for all i know

Yeh no kidding. I'm amazed at the number of deaths. Yikes! I don't really keep up much on kids that I went to school with but to my knowledge, I don't know of anyone that died, OD'd, or murdered anyone.

I played/started on 3 varsity sports for 4 years of HS and was still bullied

Not really, although I found it rather amusing after him being 2 grades ahead of me in junior high to find him later at the same high school reunion.

My biggest bully ended up getting drafted for baseball - he was the #50 pick overall. He struggled for a few years until becoming injured. He never made it out of the farm leagues. No clue what he's up to now. He was a decent pitcher.

you probably want to stay away from blaming the victim (ie, the guy gets bullied because he's a pushover). being bullied is dependent more on circumstance than on the victim. though victims tend to fit a certain profile (low self esteem, few friends), it is usually based on if the bullier thinks he can get away with it.

i've found if i'm in an environment that lends itself to bullying, the solution is to change or get out of that environment asap. it's the ones who can't do this (boss doesnt handle bullies or encourages the environment, or employees feel trapped, etc), that take it the worst and certainly in today's economic climate, people are being bullied more than previously.

He became a cop, (of course!), but actually died from some medical condition in his twenties. It seemed like a karma kinda thing.

I found this out at a reunion as dainthomas alluded to.

Not sure, but I didn't see anyone of them as particular failures. I think most of them became hedonists in the rave/club scene.

But pretty much all of them learned to show respect and dignity by the time they turned 16-18.

There were 3 in my neighbourhood.

2 were brothers and annoyed me 3 or so times a week. Not particularly severe but was pleasantly surprised when they disappeared. Found out years later they were charged with the death of their parents. They were living with a friends' family after their parents died. Kind of disturbing now.

The other guy went to jail for break-ins. I could have beat the hell out of him when he got out, as I was now considerably bigger than he was, but I didn't.

The only guy I really didn't like in HS went to film school in NY then to law school. Fucking moron. have fun.

I'm sure we all had run-ins with kids as we were growing up, but I'm guessing there was ONE person who really stood out as your chief tormentor.

Anyway, I got to wondering about "that guy" recently and decided to see if I could figure out what happened to him. Turns out, after high school, he just sort of lingered in our crappy little hometown and slowly succumbed to a combination of diabetes and alcoholism. The social security death index lists his date of death as being his 30th birthday. A friend of mine who has remained closer to home than I have informed me that the guy finally killed himself.

I HATED this kid. He was the bane of my (and many others') existence from grade school onward. Now I just sort of feel sad and weird about the whole thing. :\

I hated one guy with a passion, he used to torment me and make fun of me etc, generally plain bully stuff. Then later as I got older I found out that his mom had died when he was younger and his father was a raging alcoholic. I feel bad for all the bad things I wished on him, because I'm guessing nothing he dished out (on me at least) was anywhere near the pain he was probably going through growing up in that environment. Don't know what happened to him, but I really hope he's doing well.

I had whole gangs of bullies in elementary school, then some in middle and high schools. I think the elementary school bullies had the most negative impact on me.

Hopefully they're all dead or in jail where they belong.

Funny thing, the one guy who bullied me the most in middle school actually stopped bullying me and apologized to me for what he had done. I'm still shocked at that. Not sure what happened to him. Hopefully he's doing well.

the one guy that always bullied me in high school is still around town. i have seen a few times at the local bar. he got really fat and last i heard couldn't keep a job. he has also been in and out of jail.

one other i had issues with is doing ok. his family owned a business in town so he has always had a job. granted heard he knocked up a girl at 19 and he has been and out of jail.

i suspect the majority of bullies end up in jail or jobs where they can continue it. seems that type of personality just don't do well in adulthood.

I had a kid light my hair on fire on the bus once. I stabbed him in the thigh with a pencil, and broke his nose with a book. Not sure what he's up to now.
